Time of Day: Night

Time ticks by throughout the day

The sun sets to take a rest that it greatly deserves,

While I watch as the sky turns dark

The moon, like a flood light, floods the sky with a new light

Peace, Calm, Serenity

Many are asleep, gaining energy for the next new thing

Hyper, Active, Awake

A new life wakes as the rest sleep; a new life to take over the world

I become as active as the bat that spends their night hunting,

Or as awake as the wisest owl getting ready for the moonlight kill

In this new fascinating world, one must be on alert

For there are things that the day walkers fear that only are revealed at night

I sit in silence feeling the moment

For once I relax as the tension of the fast ever going day rolls off

However, the night is short for us

And in just hours, the tension returns along with the mighty sun

The night's creatures return to their home

As their life settles with the moon

Waiting patiently for the next night's games

I live my shadow life under the sun's rays
