Alright this is my first fanfiction ever. It's just my idea of what Ron would be like if Hermione had died. Tell me what you think!

Always Have, Always Will

Ron walked through the grass and watched as two birds flew past. It had been one month since the girl he loved died. From that day on, he knew he would never be the same again. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw her beautiful smiling face, perfect in every way, framed with bushy brown hair.

Harry shouted as spells flashed in every direction. Ron grabbed Hermione's hand and pulled her with him into a corner. He shielded her with his arms.

Ron wasn't the same without her. Every day he missed her laugh and her beautiful brown eyes that sparkled when she smiled, and even the way they fought about the stupidest things. He had known her forever and had never imagined life without her. He walked over to the loan grave.

WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED

AND LOVED

Ron dropped to the ground as the tears streamed down his face. "Why'd you go?" he whispered.

Ron looked into her eyes." H-Hermione," he began, "I've always …" It all happened in slow motion. There was a flash of green light. Ron tried to move her but it was too fast. It hit her directly in the side of the head. The life from her beautiful eyes disappeared as her body went limp in Ron's arms.

Ron knelt on the grave weeping until he couldn't cry anymore. He took out his wand and made a wreath of roses appear, placing them gently on the grass. "She loved roses," said a voice from behind him. Ron looked back to see Harry, his best friend, also with tears running silently down his cheeks.

"No," Ron said as he processed what had happened. "NOOOO"!" he screamed more desperately. "I LOVE YOU!" he shouted through his sobs hoping she would open her eyes again. He collapsed, still clutching her body not willing to let go.

They both sat side by side on the ground. Harry and Ron had both loved her but in different ways. Harry didn't know what he would do if he lost Ginny and he was thankful to have her by his side every day. Ron and Harry stayed there until the sun began to sink below the horizon. "We should go," Harry said gently to Ron. Ron nodded as fresh tears began to fall and slowly got up.

"Ron!" He heard someone call his name but it sounded foggy and far away. "RON!" it was closer this time. He looked up to see his dad, Mr. Weasley, and brother, Bill, standing over him. "We need to go," his dad said more gently. Ron was shaking with grief and couldn't fight it as Bill pulled him away from Hermione's unmoving body. Ron's eyes met Harry's from across the room. Harry saw the look on Ron's face. He knew what had happened and felt his own face crumple in sadness too. Harry walked over to him. "She's gone," was all Ron said.

"I'll give you a second," Harry said leaving Ron alone beside the grave. "I love you, Hermione," he whispered, "and I always will." As he walked away to join Harry, he knew, somewhere, Hermione was smiling.
