Chasing Cars
"Those three words are said too much, they're not enough, All that I am, is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see," Ino Yamanaka sang as she sat in her family's business crying.
"Gah, how could I be so stupid?" The blonde wondered aloud. I thought he was the one. The one I would tell my children about how their mother fell in love with the handsome ninja...I should've listened to Shikamaru and was just there for my body. Ino had friends, lots of them. But she didn't listen to them when they said the older ninja was bad news. Outside, a certain pale shinobi was wandering the streets of Konoha when he saw that Yamanaka's Flowers lights were still on. I didn't know Ino's shop was still open at this time, Sai thought. He had had a crush on Ino for years, yet he hadn't told anybody that. He decided to eavesdrop by the slightly ajar door and heard Ino singing the song by Snow Patrol. He could tell Ino was crying and felt a strange sensation, protectiveness maybe? Without thinking, he walked in slowly, not sure how the botanist kunoichi would react to him walking through the dopr , but she looked up and slightly smiled.
"H-hi, Sai..." Ino said. Sai walked over to the girl and put her in his lap.
"If I just lay here, would you lie with me, and just forget the world?" Sai sang softly. Ino stared at Sai in what she felt, was love. True love. The Yamanaka leaned in to kiss the art shinobi.
"I love you, Sai." Ino said barely moving from his embrace.
"I love you too, Ino."
