Baby names

RoyxEd

"Hurry up Roy I want to get to the stores before they close." Ed whined from the bottom of the

stairs. "I'm coming." Roy finished buttoning up his shirt and went down stairs to Ed. "And

remember were not going any where near the pet store." Roy warned Ed as he opened the

door and ushered Ed out. Ed looked at Roy and nodded, but as soon as he looked away a

devilish grin crept onto Ed's face. On the way to the stores Ed fiddled with the car radio until he

found suitable music. "We could just have a look at what they have." Ed looked at Roy

hopefully. "No." Ed reached over and looped his arm through Roy's. Roy looked at Ed with

disapproval but smiled despite it. "Just imagine coming home from central and always having

someone waiting for you." "I already have that." Roy kissed Ed's cheek and looked back at the

road. Ed sighed and leaned back in his seat, he didn't say anything for the rest of the ride. They

arrived at the stores and Ed bounded out of the car, he had a new plan. Ed grabbed Roy's arm

and tried to divert him towards the pet store but Roy spun them around and walked in the

opposite direction. Ed looked disappointed but then remembered that a new pet store just

opened and they hadn't even put up a sign yet. "Your thinking something bad aren't you?" Roy

looked at Ed with his eyebrows raised. Ed just smiled and kept walking. Ed's eyes darted from

one side of the street to the other, looking for the new store. He was going to give up when he

saw it. "That looks like a new store." Ed pointed to the new store on the left side of the street.

Ed steered Roy towards the store, grabbed his hand and pulled him in. The first thing Roy saw

was a huge white parrot on a perch bobbing it's head up and down and whistling some

mangled tune. "Ed I told you before we left." Roy looked sternly at Ed. "But Roy, the house feels

so empty without a pet. Winry finally got Al a kitten." Ed gave Roy his best puppy dog eyes and

pout. Roy sighed and smoothed his hair. "I can't say no to you." Ed smiled and ran over to the

puppy cages. Ed reached in a picked up a puppy. "Look Roy he looks like you!" Roy examined

the puppy, it was all black, with black eyes and it looked angry. "Very funny Ed." Roy went to

the cage next to the puppy Ed picked up and took a puppy out. "This one looks like you." Ed

smiled and put the puppy he was holding down. Ed took the puppy Roy was holding and looked

it over. It was golden yellow and had long shaggy ears and a long wispy tail. Ed put the puppy

back and went to the last cage. Inside was a little grey puppy with blue eyes. The puppy lifted

his paws like they were to heavy and walked over to Ed. The puppy looked up at him and put

his front legs down and his butt in the air. The puppy wagged his tail and barked playfully at

him. Ed picked the puppy up and held him in front of Roy's face. The puppy put his paws on

Roy's face and gnawed on his nose. Ed laughed, "This is the one." Roy saw the look of pure

happiness on Ed's face and new that there was no way that the puppy wasn't coming home

with them.

Ed and Roy pick out a black collar and a gold name tag for their new puppy. They also got food,

a leash, and a ball. They brought everything to the cash. The woman behind the register asked

if they would like a name engraved onto the name tag. Ed and Roy looked at each other, they

hadn't thought about a name yet. They decided to wait on the name.

Once they got back home Ed showed the puppy where everything was. "I have to go out but I'll

be back." Roy kissed Ed's cheek and left. 40 minutes later Roy came back and found Ed sitting in

the back yard with the puppy. "Where did you go?" Roy held up a book entitled 'Baby names.'

And smiled.
