She doesn't realize her beauty, he can see it in the way she watches other girls in the bar bringing her eyes back to the man beside her in search of his reaction as each one passes by. She does this with subtlety but in the eyes of a vampire she might as well have been moving in slow motion. She catches sight of him for a moment and he allows her eyes to meet his own impressed by her unflinching stare.

Her eyes move from his the moment she feels Sam leave her side. Following his movement Tara watches on as he greets her friend Sookie who had just entered across the room. She tries to hold back the tinge of jealousy that builds within her but cannot and as a precaution exits the opposite end of the bar her departure going unnoticed by the shape shifting man. Eric waits for a moment looking over at the blonde haired woman as the man (who he presumed was the darker woman's date) did everything but drool in her presence. "Tsk tsk" he whispered to himself as he turned his head in the direction the other woman exited.

She jumps at his sudden appearance and he smiles as she struggles to quickly regain her composure crossing her arms beneath modest breast, a vision that does not go unnoticed by Eric. "What the hell you think you doing sneaking up on people like that" she snapped. "Damn near gave me a heart attack". He takes a step forward and true to her no crap attitude she does not flinch. Pausing he takes the time to study the woman. Dark skin almond shaped eyes and well formed lips set upon an oval face framed in loose hanging braids she had curled all set upon a thin figure that was no stranger to exercise. At this moment talking was the last thing he wanted to do with her.

Tara's eyebrow rose at the vampires wondering eye. "Can I help you with something sir" she shot out. The blond haired man's nose wrinkled at her words. "Oh come on hon" he said taking yet another step forward. "You know my name". "Or perhaps" he spoke moving his lips close enough to brush against the woman's ear. "You need me to give you a reason to say it". At this the woman turns from him ready to leave but he will not let her go that easy.

In a flash the vampire is in front of her. "Just remember my offer" he said giving her a grin as he allowed his fangs to extend. "Whenever you get tired of playing second best to a married woman you know who to call". Tara rolled her eyes at Eric's words but the hurt within them was not lost to him. Reaching out a hand he pulled her towards him pressing his lips against hers for all but two seconds before he felt her pull away.

"Now why would I want to go and do a fool thing like that" she asked moving away from him. "I got enough problems as is I don't need being a vampires whore to be added to that list". He shook his head running a thumb over her bottom lip and to both of their surprise she didn't move. "You think too lowly of yourself" he said resting his thumb on her chin. "And you think too lowly of me. I assure you when something interest me it is for the long haul" he continued. "Can you say the same about Sam"?

Just as quickly as Tara closed her eyes Eric was gone. Sighing she brought her hand to the cold spot on her chin the vampire had touched. He gave her the same offer every time they met and every time she gave him the same answer. Not a yes but not a no either. In truth the only person she was fighting was herself and in the end of it all even she knew it was a losing battle. Nodding to herself she brought a finger to her lips holding back a small smile. Perhaps losing this battle wouldn't be so terrible after all.
