I laid down in my backyard looking up in the sky and sighed, it was especially cold for summer, the clouds were gathering together. I haven't seen Finn for two months now; football camp. Summer wasn't as fun without being around him, we only got two weeks together before he had to leave. We had gone out every night and the last day he took to me out to the park.
"Finn what are we doing?" I whispered, partially blind. It was so dark.
"Shh!" he helped me up a tree
"Why are we here?" I asked for the billionth time
"Because I am going to carve our initials into this tree."
"You're carving our initials into the tree? Why?"
"Because I love you," he said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. I smiled.
He carved in R. B. B and F. H forever.
I missed him so much. I shivered. It was starting to get colder. The beginning of summer was fine weather; then everything started getting really hot after Finn left, and now it was cold. My phone buzzed

I couldn't stop thinking of him. I always missed him but tonight it was worse.

"Rach?" Ugh now I was hallucinating! I could swear his voice was right behind me. "Rachel." I sighed and closed my eyes. He's not there, he's not there. When I opened my eyes I saw him standing over me.
"Finn?"

"Finn!" I jumped up and hugged him "You're really here!"
he laughed "I wanted to surprise you," it started to rain "Rain?" Finn looked up 'It's summer."
"Yeah the weather has been pretty crazy lately." I smiled and stood on my tip toes to urge him down for a kiss. It was soft and light.
"I missed you so much." he whispered
