I just got a neck injury, so bear with me as I write this to distract myself, please.
I don't own any of this, but I do have a beautiful bike I currently cannot ride.
Hong Kong paced. Sooner or later, it would be time to leave, and he wasn't sure what awaited him.
Living with England for the past century had changed him greatly, and he wasn't sure what his Asian siblings would think of him now. Would he be ostracized? would he even understand their customs anymore?
He shook his head. There was no way he could have changed that much. They would be happy to see him, for sure.
England came over towards him, gesturing towards the ship. "Come on, we're meeting China in half an hour." Hong Kong nodded, following silently. He wanted to thank England for all he'd taught him, but didn't feel like it would be appropriate at this moment.
They both sat in silence as the ship steamed towards the meeting point.
China would most certainly be glad to see him. He didn't think Taiwan would be there to meet him, there had been bad blood between Taiwan and China recently, as he'd heard from England.
The ship came to a halt, and England stood. "You ready for this?" he asked, catching Hong Kong slightly by surprise. "Yes... But I will miss you." he admitted involuntarily. England half-smiled, glad to see one of his adopted brothers would miss him. Most of the others left and never looked back.
"Well, we'd better not keep China waiting, he might explode..." England said, glancing out the window at the jubilant China on the shore. Hong Kong nodded seriously, following England up onto the upper deck.
As they headed down the ramp, China came forward excitedly. "Hong Kong, it's good to finally see you again!" He seized him into a hug, startling the smaller country. "Um, yeah.."
China immediately pulled Hong Kong possessively off to the side, glancing at England mistrustfully. "How did he treat you?"
"He treated me just fine, China. He was actually really nice to me." China sighed at this answer, turning back to England and bowing respectfully. "Many thanks for returning Hong Kong."
England just nodded, turning and getting back on the ship. Hong Kong watched him go, feeling like he was losing something he would never have again.
Well, I hope that's long enough for a drabble! If you enjoyed it, please review!
