Andi sighed, clicking her phone shut. She stood from the group. "Le roi m'appelle," she said in explanation.

"Which one this time?" Mizu asked teasingly.

Andi grinned. "Le roi des rêves, bien sûr," she responded. Switching from her easy French, she said," I'll be back, y'all. He's easily appeased." Her accent was an odd mix of southern drawl and So Cal brogue. She waved to her friends and turned to leave.

Nick caught her hand. "You can stick around a few more minutes, can't you?"

Andi's phone went off again.

Nick released her, laughing. "Guess not."

Andi grimaced. "I'm sorry," she apologized, before dashing off. She found the carefully hidden between-world portals that she kept track of and walked through. Her school uniform dissolved into a renaissance era dress, long dark red skirts fluttering around her legs. She dashed through the city to the Castle beyond, to the Throne Room. When she entered, she swept into a deep curtsey until the room emptied.

She straightened and grinned, walking to him, boots clicking on the stone floor. "You called, mon chère roi?"

"You haven't paid me enough attention, little girl." The man on the throne stood and met her halfway.

"Little?" Andi sniggered. "I'm older than the girl you tried to seduce in your pretty little ballroom."

He waved away the comment. "The fact is still there - you've not paid me enough attention."

"It has been a while, hasn't it?" Andi commented, smirking. "Do you propose a solution?"

"Write about me."

"I already have three stories open - four, if you count the one for mon ecrivan ami. And on top of that, I've got another in the making, as a favor for... a friend."

The man raised an eyebrow, but didn't comment. "Too bad."

Andi laughed. "You are full of yourself." She sighed, walking past him to his throne. She sat, kicking her legs up. Her skirts slid down to mid thigh, revealing the black leather corset boots she wore underneath, as a jibe to the king. "What do you offer, mon cheri?"

The king held out his hand, a small, round crystal coalescing on his fingertips. "Your dreams."

Andi laughed - she was one of the very, very few who could get away with it. "Oh, Jareth, dearest, you know that won't work on me."

Jareth's hand fell to his side, crystal gone. "You have to be the only female - the only person - not the least bit enticed my your dreams."

Andi laughed coldly. "I know the corruption that comes with being given one's dreams. Thanks, mon chou, but I'll pass."

Jareth smiled slowly. "Clever girl. Alright. What do you want?"

"I want to be able to work on my other fics, along with yours. You can't pressure me into writing just yours, or bully me into finishing yours faster. You have to let it come on its own, agreed?"

"Of course, me dear. I can live with that."

Aaaaaand, that's why I haven't been writing my other fics. But I should have a Labyrinth fic up soon! ... I hope. Anyways. I hope this will tied you over until I get my other fics - along with this one - up and running. Laters, lovers!
