Hermione listened to Harry's soft snoring, slow and even. Staring at the top of the tent, she wished for sleep, but, no matter how long she waited, it wouldn't come. She turned over, so she was looking at his bed. Ron's empty bed.
"She told him all her nightmares
She hoped he loved and didn't just care about her"
She thought back to when she was younger. Starting at Hogwarts, all alone. No friends, completely focused on her work. And then Halloween happened, and she met Ron and Harry, who introduced her to so much; adventure, fun. She blossomed in that friendship, nothing had ever been better for her.
"I remember she was just thirteen
small mind big dreams gotta hand it to her love
She grew up first"
Despite all of the bumps along the road, the three only became closer. She was whisked into this world of evil, of good and of magic she never thought she'd see. And she met her love. Ron, the boy who infuriated her to no end, who always knew just what not to say and said it anyway, who was hot-headed and petty. Ron, the boy she fell in love with. The boy who'd left her here, stormed off. She had no idea where he was, even if he was still alive.
"So please stay with me tonight
'Cause I didn't handle it right
And I'm sorry for the stupid fights
But I need someone to hold me tonight"
And it was too late to tell him, to ask him to come back. Because he was gone. And that killed her. And while she was angry, she'd forgive him everything, if he just came back.
"Don't think I've ever seen her sad
False smile seeps through and she seems pretty glad to have him even though he isn't hers"
