Maria Doppler snickered from behind the bush she was hiding behind. "Where are you?" Maria's slightly younger brother, Jake cried in frustration. Maria just snickered again and watched as her brother began to come toward her.
"Oh dear," she thought and tried to get out from behind the bush without being seen. "Ouch!" she cried. Her shoulder length, dark brown hair had just got caught in a twig. After Maria yelled, she looked around, hoping Jake didn't hear her.
"Gotcha now!" Jake cried from above her. He looked exactly like his father, Dr. Delbert Doppler, except he had green streaks through his hair and didn't wear glasses. Maria desperately scrambled out from behind the bush and ran for the tree which was serving as base. Her green coat tail that matched her uniform flew out behind her as she ran. She was also wearing magenta pants and black, high heeled, knee length boots. She was about to slide into base, when her sister, Erin, jumped in front of her and waved some tickets in front of her face.
"What are they?" Maria asked with curiosity. Erin rolled her dark blue eyes and swished her blonde hair with red tips. Her hair was shoulder length. She was wearing a sleeveless, orange with red striped, belly shirt, a silver, knee length, skirt with a red belt, and reddish orange, high heeled boots that went above her ankles.
"They're tickets to my favorite rock band," Erin answered in a somewhat snotty tone. All the girls on the family looked like their mother. Jake broke this fight by calling for his mom, Amelia. Amelia came out with Sally beside her who had an oh-no look on her face. She started to speed up walking so that her red hair that was pulled back in her ponytail that went to her middle back started swishing. She had been practicing her dance recital and was wearing a spaghetti strap, blue, belly shirt, knee length, purplish blue skirt, and ankle high, high heeled, black boots.
"What's going on here?" Amelia asked as she caught up with Sally.
"Erin ruined our game of hide and seek," Jake whined.
"I did not," Erin snapped. "I only wanted to show Maria the tickets I got."
"What's going on?" a voice said from behind Jake. Jake instantly recognized the voice to be his father's. Jake shivered even though he was wearing a red jacket, brown pants, black shoes, and a white t-shirt with an atom and the word Science written across it.
"Erin and Maria are fighting because supposedly Erin ruined their game of hide and go seek," Amelia explained.
"No!" Delbert cried. "How dare they play hide and go seek without me."
"Well, I can see you're not going to be any help," Amelia said. "So I'll take care of this. Erin, you're grounded for a week, and you're not allowed to go to your rock concert."
"You can't do this," Erin cried as she was pushed into the house by Maria.
