A/N: SUPER SORRY ABOUT HOW THE CHAPTER WAS FORMATTED, I ONLY JUST GOT TOLD ABOUT IT. PLEASE ENJOY

The fallen are death;

The fallen meet death;

They fell laughing, screaming and running;

They are the heroes of the war we fought;

Flashing lights and muffled screams and shouts;

Voices that yell vengeance for their brother, father, sister or mother;

Voices that sob over the dead bodies;

Voices that quieten after they finally find their dread lying in between the unidentified bodies;

Voices that finally comprehend the severity, and their anguish overpowers all;

Pain becoming the forefront feeling in their body and minds;

Cold dead hands that card through their hair as they shot down another opponent;

Young and innocent now have blood stained hands and the word 'murderer' stains their conscious;

Children won't know their mothers or fathers, orphans and widowers and grieving families create a song of loss;

Shocked voices fill the hall as their unguarded sides were hit;

Denying friends and family run across the hall, uncaring of the hexes shooting their way, and they scream as they hold their dear ones close 'wake up, open your eyes';

The denial is great, the denial is loud;

The boy who lost everything, his mother, his father, his mentor, another body and another soul;

Drink the blood and drink it fast;

Scream to the heavens and pray to Merlin;

The dark mark marring the skin;

Scars creating a picture of intricate lines across the canvas that is a body;

Pale face as the light in his eyes fades;

His strength is now his weakness;

But his strength is now his godson, his friends and the people who stood beside him;

As his hatehatehate for the dark lord overpowered;

His misconception about the spy was cleared: "tell them, tell them how it happened that night, tell them, how you looked him in the eye, a man who trusted you, and killed him" turned into "look at me";

and the tears that ran down the faces of fallen stayed as their bodies meet death;

The blood that boiled for vengeance;

The peace they received;

But is not a celebration when so many died;

It's not a celebration;

It's the Battle of Hogwarts;
