Hey guys, I'm taking a break from homework and decided, "Hey I could write a one-shot based on what I'm learning!" So here is the short one-shot.

Fourteen-year-old, Alex Russo is sitting on her bed reading The Diary Of Anne Frank for her English class. Sighing bored; Alex puts the book aside and makes her way down the hall to her older brother's Justin's bedroom.

Opening the door without knocking, Alex crosses her arms staring at Justin, who is writing some sort of report.

"Do you ever knock?" Justin groans. Rolling her eyes, Alex knocks on the door.

"Better?" Alex asks sarcastically.

"Whatever. What do you want?"

"What is the big deal about Anne Frank?"

"We learned what happened during the Second World War."

"I rather watch dad's war movies."

"Anne Frank was Jewish. We found out what happened outside the battle field and how the Jewish committee in Europe were close to destroyed."

"Why?"

"Hitler was a dictator."

"What was his problem?"

"Power."

"What a jerk."

"Pretty much."

Without another word, Alex walks out and to her room. Picking up the paper with the questions she has to answer, Alex reads one that causes her to get an idea.

If you were living in 1944 and were Jewish, how do you think you could live?

Grinning, Alex grabs her wand and mutters a spell taking everyone in the house, just her and Justin, to the time of The Holocaust.

Standing in a line with chains around her wrists and ankles, Alex looks two people in front of her where Justin stands.

Justin is staring at a building in fear.

"What is that?" Alex whispers to Justin.

"A gas chamber. We are in the famous camp. Auschwitz-Birkenau. Over one million people died in that gas chamber in front of us. Only 55, 000 people make it out alive." Justin replies.

Some soldier pulls on the group's chains and drags them into the gas chamber. Standing against the wall, the two men helps Alex to get over to Justin since she is at the end of the line. Justin lifts his wrists over Alex's head and gets her to hide her face into his shirt.

"Use this." Justin looks at the man next to him rip a piece of his shirt and hands it to him. Accepting it, Justin covers his mouth and nose and closes his eyes.

The gas begins to enter the room.

Screams ring in Alex's ears and as they die down, Alex starts to feel faint and ill. After who-knows-how-long Alex sees a light behind her eyelids.

"Come on." A man grabs Alex's arm roughly and tries to pull the two siblings apart.

"Hold your breath!" Justin's scratchy voice tells her. Taking a deep breath, Alex ducks under Justin's arms and lets the man pull her line out.

Only four people out of a thousand survived.

Breathing heavily, Alex opens her eyes to find herself standing in her room. Writing everything down for the question, Alex runs to Justin's room to see him catching his breath.

"Never… do… that… again…" Justin breathes.

"This summer we should go to 1912."

"Why?"

"The Titanic."

"Is this your personal History experience?"

"And people say I don't learn about history." Alex teases. Justin chuckles knowing it is true.

"So what did you learn?"

"Six million Jews were murdered, the concentration camps were turned into death camps to kill Jews and I never want to go back to 1935 to 1945." Alex concludes before walking out.

In her room, Alex picks up the book once more.

"Maybe I could bug mom and dad to buy me my own copy. Anne Frank was a fighter." Alex whispers to herself.
