A/N: Hey, guys! So sorry I haven't updated PL and his companions, working on that now. Credit to my mom for the last heartbreaking paragraph of this fanfiction. Hope you enjoy! PLEASE, R&R. I'd love to know what you guys think of this!

A young boy sat, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to fall. He got off the bench, and pulled his hat down over his face, starting to cry slightly.

"Now, Luke," Began the Professor. "A gentleman never makes a scene in public."

Luke looked up at his mentor, the man he had come to have a close bond with, tears now streaming freely.

"But I'm not a gentleman yet!" He shouted, running over and wrapping his arms around the Professor's waist, sobbing into his shirt.

The Professor smiled, putting his hands on Luke's shoulders for a few seconds, before pushing him away gently.

"Now Luke, this isn't goodbye," He began, "And you know that." He said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a letter, handing it to Luke.

"What's this, Professor?" Luke asked, looking at the letter in his hands.

"It's a letter from me. But don't open it till you board and get settled in." He said.

Luke nodded. "I'm gonna miss you, Professor.." He said, tears threatening to fall again, as he picked up his suitcase.

The Professor smiled, patting him on the back as they walked towards the ship.

"Luke, you can always write to me." He reminded him.

Luke nodded sadly, as they reached the ship.

"Well my boy, don't keep your parents waiting any longer.." The Professor said, looking towards where his parents were standing, waiting for him.

Luke hugged the Professor tightly, and whispered in his ear.

"Thank you for everything, Professor." And with that, he boarded the ship, waving goodbye before dissapearing out of the Professor's sight.

A few minutes later, the ship set sail, and Luke sat down on his bed, opening up the letter.

"Luke my boy, words cannot describe how much I'll miss you.

May the good Lord be with you, down every road you roam

And may sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far from home

And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true

And do unto others, as you'd have done to you

Be courageous and brave, and in my heart you'll always stay

Forever young

Forever young.."

50 years later

Years had passed, and many more adventures ensued between the Professor and Luke, but the years hadn't been kind to Luke. His eyes grew dim, but his smile and his wit never changed. During that long night before Luke passed away, his daughter sat with him, and in his feverish mind he recounted many adventures when he was a child. "Professor, tell me about baseball.." She laughed at his ramblings. While he had settled down, she was going through his things, and found and old faded letter. Leaning into the lamp she was able to read the faded words. She smiled as she realized two words that described her father.

Forever Young.
