Chapter 1: Pilot
(Temari)
The wind was kicking up speed as usual. It wasn't easy to live In Suna, but it was home. For the next few days I was going to be in Konoha doing official business for the Chunin exams. To be honest getting away for a little bit was nice. Being the Kazegakes sister really was putting me to work.
In rushed Kankuro. "You're a Jonin Shinobi and you can't even knock on the door" I glared. "Um sorry Tema guess what! I found out who will be showing you around Konoha." Who," I asked. "Your little crush, Shikamaru" he taunted. I clinched my fist "you always assume." "I'm not assuming I'm just pointing out that he is the only boy that you can actually stand" Kankuro said.
The next morning I was on my way to Konoha. It was true what Kankuro said yesterday. All other guys were so complicated, but there was one stood out to me. Shikamaru was lazy, but I loved how he was so simple. He thought girls were troublesome, but I was determined to change that.
(Shikamaru)
"So in a few days?" I asked. "Yes Shikamaru I expect you to be a good host" Lady Hokage said. I left her office and went to watch some clouds. As I was lying down I couldn't stop think of the orders I was given. I had to be Temari Sabakuno of the village hidden in the sands guide. That was one hell of a title she had, but she earned it. I didn't care for humdrum work, but for some reason this task didn't bother me. In fact I looked forward to it.
Temari had come off as an independent, strong, and yet caring girl. She was smart and a strategist like me. She was still a troublesome woman, but I didn't mind being around her. She didn't base her time on boy like most girls around here. She may be troublesome, but she can still pull a smile on my face.
(Temari)
It was fairly early in the morning still by the time I had arrived at the Konohas gate. "Ah Temari-san here for the chunin exams?" a leaf chunin asked. "Yes" I answered. They let me in and first person I saw was a tired yet still handsome Shikamaru.
"Yawn!" I looked at him and said "Heh the first thing you do when you see me is yawn." He blushed a little then started walking me to the Hokages office. The whole time we walked their, he remained silent. I wasn't sure if it was because he was just too lazy to open his mouth or he didn't care about spending the next few days with me.
(Tsunade)
Just before we got to the office we met eye to eye with the Hokage. "Ah I was just heading out, here are the paperwork you need to finish have fun the next few days," I said. I started walking off. "Do you think that you idea was a good one" Shizune asked. "Of course it is. These two clearly like each other, but are too afraid to act on it. So what better ways to cook up the love between the two than having them spend a few days alone together?"
