Fear.
Driven by fear of the destruction seen by Kronos is what compelled one Karina Vale to join his army. The thirteen year old daughter of Aphrodite was scared witless after he struck down her older brother before her very eyes, threatening to do the same to her. Out of fear she took up sword and shield against her friends and brethren, fighting against her own side. It was controlling her, paralyzing her mind into a numbing monotone of nothingness. With trembling hands, she clumsily blocked the blows from her half brother in the Titan war. After stumbling over a loose concrete slab, Karina looked down in shock at the sword impaled in her stomach. She heard the sickening sound as her brother, her kin, withdrew it with a sickening sound, her red blood gleaming against the silver. Karina's blood blossomed across her shirt, a crimson flower expanding across her. Closing her eyes, Karina accepted eternal slumber, and departed to join her brother in Hades.
Driven by fear, driven to her death. Kronos knew that you can control anyone through fear. Tap into their emotions, and you leave them helpless.
