Noa finds Mokuba crying and tries to cheer him up to some...er, odd results.(StepShipping hint;, use of 'The Ferret Song' lyrics)

Mokuba sat curled against a wall, tears making tracks down his cheeks. Noa was walking by; as he caught sight of Mokuba he took a few steps backward. "Mokuba?" Mokuba looked up at Noa, sniffling. "You okay, Mokie? You look kind of sad."

"That's because I am," he answered softly, through the tears.

"Aww, Mokie." Noa muttered. Mokuba threw his arms around Noa and continued crying. "Mokuba," Noa said quietly after a few minutes.

Mokuba sniffled. "Yeah?"

"You know what I do sometimes when I'm sad?" the older boy said quietly, "I sing about things that make me happy." He wiped his thumb across Mokuba's cheek, taking some of the tears. Noa knew well that this sounded like a clichéd spin off of 'The Sound of Music,' but if it make Mokuba feel better it couldn't be bad, right?

"An apple pie, a bright blue sky, a breezy meadow in July; An ice cream bar, a shooting star, the sound of a steel guitar." The frown slowly slid off of Mokuba's face, so Noa continued his song. "I love the sound of rain, wearing a hat and cane; Tiffany windowpanes are lovely to see! Frost on a windowsill, the feel of a dollar bill! Vacations in Brazil fill me with glee." A soft, if small, smile had finally worked its way on to Mokuba's face. "These are all the little things that make me smile; this is all the stuff that makes life worth while. Everybody knows that the Holocaust was a lie so let's sing about the stuff we like and don't be shy!"

Mokuba's face blanked and his voice was shrill. "Noa, wait! The Holocaust!? Wha--!"

Noa quickly went on with his song, cutting his adoptive brother off mid-sentence a forced smile on his face. "A strip of lace, a pretty face, Eugenics really makes the case. Counting sheeps and froggy leaps," Mokuba had finally settled back into the song, "touching Mokuba inappropriately while he sleeps…"

"WHAT!?" Mokuba's face had completely snapped on that one; at least he wasn't worrying about sadness now.

Noa cut him off again, this time his eyes started to glaze over as if he was somewhere else, his voice taking on an almost absent sound. "I love the feel of grain, the screams of a man in pain, blood coming down like rain and showering me. That everlasting thrill during the final kill; body dumped in a landfill, got off Scott-Free." Now Mokuba was just plain scared.

"These are all the little things that make me smile; this is all the stuff that makes life worth while. One day I'll eat your brain and it'll be great. So let's sing about the things we like and meet your fate."

Mokuba's face was frozen in fear. Noa blinked and seemed to come back. He looked down at Mokuba and smiled. Mokuba forced one back, though it kind of looked more like a grimace. "Er, th-th-th-thanks, Noa. You…really made me feel better."

"No problem." Noa stretched his arms above his head. "So…I think I'm going to turn in now." A slight pause. "When do you plan to?" Noa was smiling.

"…I'm locking my door."

I did not make the song. I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh. I just had a random brain explosion when hearing the song on my friend's Gaia profile and wrote it out.
