It was dark out. The only source of light was the small amount reflected from the moon. The girl laid herself on a rooftop as she looked through the lens of her Sniper rifle waiting for a specific target to stand in place. Her target was the leader of the Nishikino corporation with a high price on her head. Its not like she had anything against her. In fact, she knew her daughter. But this was different. This was her job.

The leader of the Nishikino corporation was currently attending a dinner party on the highest story of a skyscraper. The sight of the attendees acting as if they were Kings and Queens from the middle ages made her cringe. Even if her daily life required her to do so, she couldn't help but find it sickening. She tried to fill her head with hate and disgust to distract herself from the fact that she was killing her friend's mother.

The target stood still. She waited or the pause in her breathing cycle. As her breath stopped, she took the shot. A tear ran down her cheek as she watched the body drop. She continued to watch as the people behind the target were splashed with her red wine blood. As the crowd began to register what had just took place, she wiped her cheek and turned on the device in her ear.

"Its been done." she said quietly.

"As expected of you Kousaka-san. We look forward to your cooperation in the future."

Its already eleven o'clock, when is mother gonna get here? A red haired girl thought to herself. She sat on her couch eagerly waiting for her mother's arrival while staring at the clock as the minutes passed by. After all, they rarely had time to spend together because of her duties as the leader of a company. But even more so, today was special. Today she had graduated from her high school with the best grades and perfect attendance. She was hoping her mother would praise her.

Just then, she heard a knock on the door. Excited at the thought of her mother finally arriving, the girl rushed to open the door. But as she quickly opened the door, her feeling of happiness was soon replaced with horror.

"Are you Nishikino Maki?" a police officer asked.

"Yes, is there something wrong?" she answered, terrified that she had done something to cause someone to call the police.

"My, you're quite young arent you? This makes it harder to break the news."

"What news?" Maki asked with a confused look on her face.

"How do I say this?... Your mother, she's dead."

Maki couldn't believe what she was hearing. Dead? Her mother? It couldn't be true! This was just some kind of cruel trick right? As these thoughts filled her mind, the red head lost all of her strength and fell to her knees. She couldn't help but sob. As her tears forced their way out, two figures had walked pass the officer and stood in front of her. Maki tried to rub the tears from her eyes to take a look at who had just appeared but the tears wouldn't stop.
