Leo's Back

A/N: This is a little one shot about how I think Leo comes back to Camp Halfblood. POV switches a little but it's all in 3rd person.

Disclaimer: I can only dream that PJO and BOO were mine.

After waiting two weeks for the new savior of Olympus to return, Leo's funeral was held on a sunny day. Percy thought that Apollo must be mocking them, the god of truth wasn't exactly known for his maturity. Percy thought that he was being disrespectful, which, coming from him, was a big deal. He turned his gaze from the sky back to the podium where Frank was beginning his speech about the fallen son of Hephaestus when a clinking, metallic noise distracted all of the ADHD demigods, himself included. Looking to the sky, he faintly heard Frank droning on in the background, oblivious to the commotion going on above him. Percy stared at the bronze lump of metal slowly coming into better focus.

Letting out a whoop of glee Percy stood.

"That's how you crash your own funeral, baby!" Leo shouted as he landed the bronze dragon.

'You learned from the best!" Percy yelled back. He took a closer look at the scene in front of him. The dragon looked like the one that he, Silena, Beckendorf, and Annabeth had found during a game of capture the flag a few years ago.

Annabeth and Piper appeared beside him, grinning at him. Percy knew that grin on Annabeth's face. It was her 'my-seaweed-brained-boyfriend-did-something-sweet-or-mind-numbingly- stupid' look. Percy would ask her about it later. He elbowed her lightly and pointed at the dragon. "If I was going to pick one person in the world to reattach my head, I'd pick you," he said. This time it was Piper's turn to be confused while Percy shared a laugh with Annabeth.

Piper

Piper couldn't stand just walking towards the son of Hephaestus, who was helping the girl with him off of Festus. She ran to him and gave him a hug, then held him at an arm's length. Her eyes widened when she remembered that Leo had left them and she slapped him.

"Where in Hades have you been, Valdez?! You had us all worried sick!" Piper yelled at him. The Seven were behind her by the time that Leo, rubbing his cheek, smiled at her.

Leo

Leo put on his most mischievous grin and said, "Well, technically, Beauty Queen, I had an oath to keep with a final breath. So I went back for Calypso and then immediately came back here. I missed you, too."

Piper replied, with a scowl that was slowly fading, "Don't call me Beauty Queen."

Leo heard Percy yell out, "GROUP HUG!" and suddenly everyone was surrounding him, in the biggest group hug he had ever been in (willingly at least, mobs don't really count). Leo laughed and said, "Who knew dying would help me get the ladies?" Calypso backhanded his stomach lightly but everyone else laughed. And, for once, his humor didn't hide any pain.
