Authors note: I don't own Rogg I only own Genopa and Sunspot. This is also set when both packs are still at war and when Sunspot and Rogg are eight. The whole story is set from Rogg's P.O.V
It was a normal morning for me, I had been kicked up out of my bed and was getting set for a normal day.
I rubbed my pink skin trying to stop it from hurting.
If there was one thing I hated it was our pack leader Genopa, I only hoped we didn't have to attack the ones he called our enemies.
I went on my morning walk when I spotted my only friend in the pack Sunspot an amber version of me.
She saw me and went over.
I never knew what it was about her, but we always knew if something was wrong with the other.
"Morning Rogg" she greeted her American accent strong as normal.
"Hey" I said.
"Kicked up again I see" she said seeing my bruise,
I nodded.
"Well when I'm leader I won't let anyone do that to you" she said.
I smiled.
"I wish we we're adults, then we could do what we want" I said.
Sunspot nodded and started to pretend she was in charge.
I laughed until I got a slap on the head by a passing adult.
I hated it when they did that and I could see it upset Sunspot.
"Pick on someone your own size!" she shouted.
The adult growled at us and we backed away.
I thanked Sunspot for trying to help and she told me she wished the adults wouldn't pick on me.
"I'm just a runt" I said.
"Your not" Sunspot said rubbing my bad arm gently.
I smiled.
"Meet me at the lake at lunch" she whispered and went off.
"No problem there" I thought to myself as I was always by the river.
I often sat by myself staring at my reflection, as it was the only place I didn't bother anyone.
A few hours passed and I started to doze off.
"BOO!" Sunspot said from behind me.
She scared me so badly that I fell into the river which was bad, especially when you can't swim.
Sunspot at first must of thought I was playing as she just sat there, but quickly realized I really couldn't swim.
She jumped in and swam over to me.
I called for help before everything went black..
I coughed waking up and the first thing I saw was Sunspot looked at me relived.
"Hi" I said.
I had never noticed how beautiful she was before.
"Oh Rogg I'm so sorry I didn't know you couldn't swim" she said.
"It's ok" I said sitting up.
"Sunspot! What are you doing with him?" our leader and Sunspot's father Genopa a grey version of ourselves asked stepping over.
"I saved Rogg from drowning" Sunspot replied stepping over me.
Genopa narrowed his eyes at me.
"I don't want you around him, now come it's time for you to choose your mate" he said.
"Rogg is my mate!" Sunspot snapped.
By then both mine and Genopa's mouths dropped open.
"I chose him along time ago, only if he wants to be my mate" she said.
There was no way I was going to say no to her.
"Yes" I said.
Genopa snarled and flung me back into the river.
Once more Sunspot saved me from drowning.
"Thanks" I said climbing onto a rock.
Sunspot climbed up and told me not to worry.
I looked down nervously.
"Hey Sunspot" I said slowly.
"Yeah" she said thankfully not sensing my nerves.
"Did you mean what you said earlier? About me being your mate?" I asked.
Before I could think Sunspot pulled me into a kiss.
"Ok that answered my question" I said afterwards.
She smiled at me.
"Your blushing" she said.
I smiled back.
"Not" I said.
We both laughed and went off, ready for whatever happened along the way.
