CHAPTER 1

Bonnie parked outside of the Parker household, honking her horn, rustling the birds around on the cool September morning.

"Come on Mal!"She yelled to no one in particular.

Kai rushed out the front door pulling his grey Mystic Falls Timberwolves hoodie on, followed by his 15-year-old siblings Liv and Luke." Jesus, we're coming!"He yelled a this best friend, whom honked the loud horn of her car again, just for good measure.

Kai opened the passenger door, sliding in, throwing his backpack into his backseat, hitting Luke causing his younger brother to whine about having a bruised nose on the first day back to school as Bonnie speed off.Kai quickly put his seatbelt on.How Bonnie ever got a drivers license, he'll never know.

"Junior year.I'm already sick of it."Kai reached up, turning the dial on the radio trying to find a good song in the early morning hours. Bonnie shook her head, laughing. "You say that same thing every year."

"Well, nothing good ever happens in this town, let alone to a bunch of high school kids." Kai stopped on a radio station playing an old Nirvana song."If you don't slow down, you're gonna run over someone's grandmother."

"At least I have a license." Bonnie teasing causing to Liv and Like to laugh in the backseat. Kai frowned."It's not my fault the drivers teacher thinks that i'm insane."

Liv and Like bursted into giggles at their older brother's misfortune. Kai glared at them and snapped." Shut up, Twinderellas."

Bonnie bit her lip as she decided to tell them about what her Grams told her." So Grams is telling me i'm psychic. Our ancestors were from Salem, witches and all that."

Kai fidgeted uncomfortably, as Liv and Luke shared a knowing look in the backseat. "Sound like Grams needs to lay of the Gin."

Bonnie shook her head, rolling her eyes." I know, crazy, but she's going on and on about it. And i'm like, put this woman in a home already. But I started thinking, I predicted Obama, and I predicted Heith Ledger."

Kai sighed at Bonnie's rambling."And you also believe that Florida is gonna break off into little resort islands."

"I'm right. I know i am!"Bonnie exclaimed as Kai gave her one of his rare genuine smiles that only the Bennett girl ever sees."You know what I predict ?"

Bonnie looked at him skeptically, thinking that he was going to mock her. Kai sat back in his seat as they pulled into the High school parking lot." I predict that this year, everything will change."
