"Dude why am I here?" Puck asked Finn as they walked up some stairs.

"How many times do I need to tell you?" Finn asked as they walked into a room. "I need to take dance lessons, so I don't embarrass myself in front of Quinn and her family."

"You have been doing that since high school," Puck laughed. "I'm asking why I'm here."

"Because you're my best man," Finn told him. "Now please just do this for me?"

"Fine, but only cause you are like a brother to me."

"Thank you. So, are you finally going to tell me who you are bringing to the wedding? I mean it's in 3 weeks," Finn asked.

"I was thinking of bringing Courtney, or maybe Sasha," Puck told him. "Maybe I'll just meet a girl there. I mean Quinn has to have some hot friends."

"Eh, there's Santana," Finn offered.

"Nope, she hates my guts," Puck told her.

"Brittany?"

"She thinks the square root of four is rainbows, man. I'm not a genius, but even I'm not that dumb." Finn was about to say another name when a small girl in a black dress walked into the room. "Or maybe I'll just take her."

Before Puck had a chance to talk to the girl, she started talking. "Okay, everyone, let's quiet down, so we can get started. My name is Rachel Berry and I will be your instructor for the next 3 weeks. Now dance is a fluid nonverbal movement with a purpose to show your partner a feeling or emotion. Over these next 3 weeks you will learn the waltz, the tango, and the salsa. We will start with the waltz tonight. If I can have everyone's attention, my assistant Kurt and I will demonstrate the waltz," she finished and a skinny guy in a full suit walked up to her. They got into position and she cued for the music to start. Puck watched in amazement as they glided around the room with such ease. His eyes were locked on the brunette the whole time. The song finally ended, and she started to speak again. "Okay, now Kurt is going to get everyone partnered up, and then we will be able to begin." Puck watched as the guy in the suit, now Kurt, began walking around the room pairing everyone up. He did a quick sweep of the room looking at all the woman, but his eyes landed back on the brunette. Suddenly he noticed that Kurt was coming up to Finn and him.

"You're a tall one," he said commenting on Finn's enormous height. Puck held back a laugh when he remembered Finn's nickname in high school, frankenteen. "You'll be partnered up with the blonde over there. Thank God she is wearing heels," he muttered before pointing to a blonde across the room. "Hmm, and you," he said now looking at Puck. "Rachel!" he yelled after a moment.

"Inside voice, Kurt," Rachel said as she walked over to them. "What do you need?"

"This one doesn't have a partner," he said pointing to Puck.

"There were supposed to be an equal number of people to be partnered," she said before walking over and grabbing a clipboard. "Hmm it seems that someone didn't show up tonight."

"Meaning?" Puck asked.

"You know I could be his partner," Kurt said giving Puck a look that made him uneasy.

"I got it. Kurt, can you handle this one?" she asked.

"Of course I can," he said with a smile before running off. "Okay, everyone let's get started. Now introduce yourself to your partner so you aren't all awkward," Kurt said clapping his hands.

"I'm…" Rachel started.

"Rachel Berry," Puck finished. "I was listening. I'm Puck," he said extending his hand.

"Puck?" Rachel looked at him confused. "Your name is Puck?"

"That's what I said," Puck replied.

"Okay, now that we are introduced, let's get dancing," Kurt yelled.

Rachel got into position and Puck just looked at her. "Grab my hand and put your other hand on the small of my back," she told him. He did what he was told and finally noticed how tiny she really was. The music started and Kurt called out the steps. Rachel guided Puck, while whispering the steps. Once Rachel realized that Puck had learned the steps, she let him guide her. "So, why the lessons?" she asked softly.

Puck looked at her when he heard her speak. "The tall guy over there, Finn," Puck said nodding his head towards Finn. Rachel gave him another confused look. Puck laughed. "No not for him. He doesn't want to embarrass himself at his wedding, and as his best man I got dragged along."

"I see," Rachel said before going back to the steps. "You know dancing is not that bad."

"Not if it's with the right person," Puck said flashing his smirk. "Especially if it is a beautiful brunette."

Rachel felt a blush come to her cheeks. "Straight back," she heard Kurt whisper as he walked by. She looked up to see him wink. Rachel straightened up in Puck's arms.

"So, how long have you been a dance instructor?" Puck asked.

"Since high school. I taught 4 and 5 year olds ballet during high school. And then I taught middle schoolers through college, where I finally landed here," she told him.

"Wow, that's a long time."

"It's just something I love. So, who is he getting married to?"

"A girl name Quinn Fabray," Puck told her.

"Oh my goodness. No way!" Rachel almost shouted.

"What?" Puck asked looking around concerned.

"Oh sorry," Rachel said a little sheepishly. "It's just that Quinn is my sorority sister. I got the invitation to the wedding, but I had never met her fiancée," Rachel explained looking back over to Finn, who was stepping on his partner's feet. "I can see why he needs the lessons."

Puck just looked over at Finn and laughed. "He's never been very graceful."

"And you are?" Rachel asked raising her eyebrows. Rachel was suddenly pulled plush up against Puck. He smirked at the small gasp that came out of her mouth. Before she could register what he was doing, she was spun out of his arms. She looked back at him, and saw the smile playing on his lips. She sent him one back before he pulled her back into his arms.

"Graceful?" Puck asked.

"Very," Rachel smiled. "How did you learn to dance like that?"

"My mom made me take some ballroom dance lessons in middle school. Something about helping me with my future," he told her. "Which it is," he mumbled to himself.

"So, you come to dance lessons that you don't really need," she said to him.

"Basically."

"So either you really suck at dancing, which we can cross out, or he doesn't know about them," Rachel inquired nodding her head towards Finn, who was now trying to spin his partner.

"Ding ding ding," Puck smirked. "I told him I was taking boxing lessons."

"Nice cover," Rachel laughed. Puck watched as her head flew back in laughter and her eyes clenched shut.

Suddenly, Kurt's hands were clapping and he was talking about thanking your partner for the dance. "Thank you for the dance, Mrs. Berry," Puck said releasing her from his arms.

"Miss," Rachel commented with a smirk of her own before she walked away to Kurt.

"Hey man," Finn said coming to stand next to Puck. "Now was that so bad?"

"Definitely not bad," Puck said sneaking a look at Rachel.

"So what's up with you and McHot over there?" Kurt grinned at Rachel.

"Nothing," Rachel said as her cheeks redden.

"Oh really? Then why did he just sneak a look at you?"

"What?" Rachel said shyly looking over her shoulder at Puck and Finn.

"Gotcha," Kurt practically shouted before clapping his hand excitedly.
