I was out hunting by myself when I heard something behind me. I turned around and crouched. It was Emmett that I heard so I came out of my crouch. "Hey, Squirt," He said. I raised my eyebrows at him. "What?" He asked innocently. A bit too innocently if you ask me. "Squirt?" I asked him.
"Well your smaller than me. Your not that much taller than Alice, which in other words means your short. I don't call Alice, Squirt because she's more of a pixie," He said. Then he smiled at me, "Squirt. Your new nickname."
"If you don't mind my asking, why did you follow me out here?" I asked. "Well," He hesitated. Then it all came out in a rush, "Your my little sister, Bella. Now that your married and a mom, you don't have time for me. I really have missed you. I came out here to ask if you would like to spend the day with your big brother."
"I didn't know you could be that deep, Emmett," I teased him. He glared at me. I grinned at him, "Sure." His face broke out into a big, goofy, grin, "Come on. We need to go tell the others that we'll be gone most of the day."
"What exactly are we going to do, today?" I asked as we were running to the house. He turned and smiled mischievously at me. "It's a surprise," He said. I groaned. "You know I hate surprises!"
I growled. "You'll like it. Trust me," He seemed confident. Maybe I would like it... Maybe not. Who knew?
At the house, we old everyone we were going to have a day to have some brother-sister bonding. Edward seemed glad that I was going out to have some fun. I said goodbye to the family, and met Emmett out in his jeep. He was grinning from ear to ear. I couldn't help but smile some myself. "Are you ready to have some fun, Squirt?" He asked as we left the house. "Sure, sure, Brother Bear," I said. "Huh. I like that one," He said. I laughed. It really did suit him.
I had no clue as to where we were going as I looked out the window. I watched as the dense, green forests of Forks disappeared, and we passed some towns. Emmett slowed down as we got to Seattle. After a few minutes he pulled into a really big mall. After he parked, he started jumping up and down. "Let's go shopping," He squealed. My jaw dropped. Shopping? "What?!" I nearly yelled.
Emmett burst out laughing really loudly. I mean really loud. People in the parking lot stopped and stared. "Ha, ha! I couldn't help, but stop and do an imitation of Alice. You should have seen your reaction! Ha, ha! It was hilarious! Ha, ha!" he started to laugh again. When I realized that we weren't going shopping, I laughed with him.
After a few minutes, we sobered up. "Okay. Now let me take you where I was really going to take you," He said, pulling out of the parking lot. We drove for a few minutes before we arrived at... an amusement park. Vampires went to amusement parks?
When I voiced my question, Emmett answered with' "Nope. Only really cool ones like myself." I had to laugh a that.
The rest of the day consisted of me being forced on to roller coasters by Emmett. Then, he would laugh at my terrified expression, and say, too low for a human to hear, "Your a vampire who has faced the Volturi, and your scared of a machine!" To which I would reply to with, "An over-sized machine." That would send him into another round of laughter.
We left the park at closing time. I had had a really good time, scary roller coasters and all. I had realized that I 'had missed my big brother. When I told him this, he said, "Then, we'll have to do it again, sometime." You, know what? I would do it again, to spend time with my brother, any day. Even if it did consist of over-sized, scary machines.
