Here's another fic, this still isn't the original one that I was going to put up, but since you guys don't know what my original one is about, I don't think you'll be disappointed, right? Ihope so. Anyways, this is a Zutara fic. I do not support Zutara, I just find these fics fun to read and write. Lets get on with the story!

Disclaimer: I do not own Avatar the Last Aribender,

Ugh! The work! The never ending work! Who knew being fire lord could be so …so…hard. That's not necessarily the word I was going for but I'm too tired to think of any words that actually make sense. Sure it was hard, but I wouldn't call it that. It's just that you had to work hard in order to get everything done and in the proper timeline. I barely had time for sleep these days. Yes, I went to bed each night and woke up every morning. Yes, I was sleeping the healthy eight to ten hours of sleep. It's just that whenever I go to sleep it feels like five seconds have passed and then I have to get back up again and rule the nation. It's just so… Ugh!

Zuko was so frustrated that he shoved all his paperwork off his desk in rage. He got up from his chair and began pacing his room.

"It's only been a year after the war's ended and I still am up to my ears in work! Everything needs rebuilding. The whole world is destroyed. Can't these people deal with it themselves?" he almost shouted as he continued to pace his room.

The door to his room opened and Iroh walked in. "Zuko, you need to stop shouting. If something is bothering you, all you need to do is tell me about it peacefully," Iroh told his nephew hoping that his calm voice will make Zuko clam down.

"How can I be peaceful when the whole world is acting like they can't solve their own problems? I'm getting construction requests from Ba Sing Se, breeding permission from a circus that breeds hog monkeys, and other endless requests from people all over! When did people need permission for things that they did anyways before the war ended?" Zuko yelled while taking the gold flame out of his hair and throwing it on his dresser. He took out the ponytail as well, letting his hair fall into his eyes. He then fell onto his bed and stared at the ceiling.

"I would not call that talking in a peaceful manner, Nephew," Iroh said while eyeing Zuko who hadn't moved from his spot on the bed.

"All you can talk about is peace! Lets see how long you would last doing this job," Zuko said quieting down just a tad as to make his uncle feel a little better.

"I'll take you up on that," Iroh said unexpectantly.

"What?" Zuko said, sitting up on his bed immediately.

"You need a vacation, and while you're gone, I'll stand in as fire lord," Iroh explained to Zuko.

"You know what, deal. I'll take a vacation and bring along my friends because we all need a much needed vacation. Cause you know that they've been busy too," Zuko said finally calming down.

"What an excellent idea, nephew. Why don't you go write to them?" Iroh suggested.

"I will. Thank you, Uncle," Zuko said as he got off his bed and walked back over to his desk.

"And when you're done with that, you should probably clean up all that paperwork that you dumped on the floor," Iroh said as he walked out of Zuko's room and closed the door.

While Zuko writes his letters, I'm going to catch you up on everything that has happened after the war ended.

To start, Zuko found his mother in Ba Sing Se living under a false name. She was welcomed back into the castle to live as she once did. She was the fire lady at present, but that would change if Zuko got married.

Zuko and Mai were still together and happy. Zuko had made up to Mai for abandoning her and leaving by taking her out for the best dates they had ever had. In return, Mai began to show more emotion because for once, she was truly happy.

Toph is living back at home with her family who now treat her like she's always wanted to be treated. She works for the Earth King, helping him out however she can. Cause let's face it, what can't Toph do?

Aang and Katara were still together as well but they were taking it nice and slow so they couldn't spoil their relationship with things they might regret doing.

While we're talking about relationships, Sokka and Suki are happy as well. Suki has been balancing dating and warrior duties very well which lets her have a lot of time with Sokka, which he was happy for.

Ty Lee stayed with the warriors and is having tons of fun as she states it. She's made friends with all the warriors and has added a great advantage to the group.

What remained of the Freedom Fighters have settled in Ba Sing Se, but they visit the others often.

And the biggest bit of news of all is that Jet is actually alive. Longshot and Smellerbee managed to get him out of Lake Lagaoi before the Dai Li ruined the tunnel. They brought him back to their flat where he rested for a few weeks before finally feeling better and starting his new life, again.

Now that you're all caught up, let's get back to Zuko.

Zuko finished up his letters and proceeded to put them in envelopes.

He had a letters for: Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Suki, Mai, Ty Lee and the other Kyoshi Warriors, and Jet and the Freedom Fighters.

His plan was that they would all meet at the palace, hop on Appa, and then fly to a remote tropical island that Zuko's family has owned for generations. No parents, no supervision, no chaperones allowed. Only them and the island. And he's pretty sure all the parental units would agree when he says that they can all handle themselves for one month on a harmless tropical island.

Zuko whistled for his messenger hawk so he could deliver the letters he had written, inviting his friends to their much needed vacation.

What did you think? I for one LOVE IT! I have so many ideas for this fic. Wait til you guys how it's going to turn out.
