Kate lay in bed reading a magazine her belly protruding out. She's seven moths along and can't wait till their baby come. Neither can Castle. He's been so excited and even more protective now that she's pregnant. Honestly, Kate loves him more for it and finds absolutely adorable.
"All done," Castle says walking into the room already in his pajamas.
"All done with what?" Kate asks putting the magazine aside as he climbs into bed next to her.
"With the nursery," he replies matter-of-factly.
"Castle, we finished the nursery this afternoon. So what else did u do?"
"Well um...I...um," he says sheepishly. "I added a few more stuffed animals." He turns to her with that puppy dog face hoping she won't be mad.
"How much is a few? 'Cuz when we finished this afternoon I kinda thought there were more than enough stuffed animals," Kate replies
"It was only a couple more, I swear," Castle quickly says. "I though he would like them..." Castle places his hand on her belly.
"Our kid is going to be so spoiled. I can already tell," she says letting out a sigh.
"Little Cosmo is gonna be a great kid, I promise." Castle leans in to give her a kiss on the cheek.
"Hold up a second. We are not naming our kid Cosmo."
"Why not? Its an awesome name." He looks at her face and knows he won't change her mind. "Fine, do u have any other names in mind?"
"I don't know. I mean I want to give him a name that means something to us. A name that holds a place in our hearts."
They both sit in a comfortable silence thinking about some possible names. Castle then faces her slowly having a name in mind.
"How bout James, after your dad? And we can call him Jamie for short," Castle asks hoping she'll like it just as much as he does.
She smiles at the idea. "I knew there was a reason I married you." Kate places her hands on his face and kisses him. He kisses her back with just as much passion. Kate breaks the kiss before things escalate too quickly. "I love it."
"Great," he smiles back at her giving her a quick kiss on the lips, "we finally picked his first name. What about his middle name?"
Kate already has a name in mind. "Roy. Can his middle name be Roy?"
Castle smiles at her full of joy. "It's perfect." This time Castle pulls her in for a deep kiss, placing one hand on her neck and the other on her cheek. He kisses her thoroughly until he breaks the kiss needing some air.
Castle then moves his face down to her belly. "You hear that buddy? Your name is James Roy Castle," he places a soft kiss on her belly then looks back at Kate.
"I can't wait 'til he gets here, Kate," Castle says turning of the light and laying down.
"Me neither," Kate whispers with a smile on her face as she lies down next to him. She turns on her side and puts his arm on her waist so his hand falls where their baby rests. Kate drifts off where her baby will fill her dreams until morning.
