Common things I found in the Rent fanfic universe! Please Review, I mean if you want to ;)

My Examination of Rent fanfics (Mostly Mo/Jo though)

General:

-Mostly spend their time in the loft or Life Cafe

-Someone ends up in the hospital and their bill is either paid by Joanne or Benny

-Drink a lot but somehow can't pay for food or rent

-some non-canon pairings thrown in (MimiAngel, JoanneCollins, JoanneMimi)

-Collins, Angel, Mimi, Roger die (rarely Maureen, Joanne, and Mark)

-They have a lot of kids

-Lots of sex (Like with any other fanfics)

Mark

-Alone and clumsy

-Obsessed with making his film

-Annoyed by Alexi

-will eventually get the girl or get back with Maureen (in rare cases: Joanne)

-Becomes childlike if scarf or camera are taken away from him

-films everything

Maureen:

-Sex hungry

-Acts like a teenager

-Doesn't actually have a job

-If she ever is given one it's a job at a diner, Cat Scratch Club, Life, or an off/on Broadway show.

-An obsession with cows

-Says Pookie 'numerous' times

-Ends up trying to kill herself or having some type of mental illness

-Strong connection/Best friends with Collins

-Very flirtatious

Joanne:

-Basically acts like a babysitter to Maureen in most cases

-Obsessed with her work

-'Honeybear'

-A lot of breaking up between her and Maureen

-Ends up falling into Maureen's schemes and tricks

-Very close to her parents

-Will rarely become sex hungry like Maureen

-Mostly becomes the submissive one in the relationship

-Has a strong friend connection with Mark

-Will fall in love with Mark or some non-canon character at some points

Angel

-Says 'Chica' a lot

-Very friendly

-Best friends with Mimi

-"Angel Lives! AU"

-rarely gets angry

-very empathetic

Collins

-Often gets high

-Child at heart

-says 'I love you' a lot to Angel with some pet names thrown in

-Strong connection with Maureen

-thinks about Santa Fe a lot

Mimi

-Almost best friends with every girl in the musical (Maureen, Joanne, Angel)

-Usually written with mental illness and drug ties

-Not as crazy as Maureen

-Doubt's Roger's love for her

Roger

-Very Moody

-Spends a lot of time brooding with his guitar

-Best friends with Mark (lightly)

-sometimes childlike

-Acts like he's emo

-Still has feelings for April

Benny

-Gets them to pay rent but is ignored

- pretty evil(ish)

-Hates and cheats on Alison

-money hungry

-Some cases he will break up with Alison and move back into the loft

-Mostly the dumb one in the group
