"I'm sorry Ash, it's over. I can't date someone who can't ever win anything he does" Misty said as she began walking away, leaving the raven haired boy alone in his sorrow.

Ash was walking alone, tears in his eyes around the beautiful quaint Pallet town, usually on days like this he would have been outdoors playing with his or wild pokemon. But not today.

What Ash didn't realise was that a familiar Brown haired, blue eyed co-ordinator was watching him from afar. She couldn't stay hidden for much , there was one place she could surprise him.

"Mom, I'm home" Ash called as he entered his house, however he got no reply

"Hmm, must have gone out" He said to himself as he collapsed on the sofa and turned on the TV.

"pfft, two years we haven't seen each other, and you don't call or message me once" May said as she emerged from the stairs "I see you haven't changed much"

"May!" Ash said happily to his old friend "What are you doing here?"

"Well, I finished everything to do, so I decided to catch up on old friends" She replied simply "So... How're things?"

Ash remained silent

"I don't want to know about her" May said comfortingly "Just want to know what happened after I left"

"You know?" He said slightly depressed

"I saw it happen, tough break" May said quietly "But I'm not here for that, you're the reason I'm here, nothing else"

"Thanks May" Ash said "While you're here, I can't be upset"

"Aw, Ash became a pimp and a poet" May joked

"haha" Ash said sarcastically

After several moments of staring into each other's eyes, May finally said "Ash?"

"Yeah?" He said still maintaining eye contact

"I love you" May said before leaning forward and kissed Ash unexpectedly, and to her surprise, he kissed back.

Once the two separated May said "I'm here for you"

"I'm here for you too" Ash said
