Disclaimer: I do not own Bones!

Alright, this is just a simple monologue that I wrote for my Creative Writing class. Since it was about Bones I figured I would post it here. It's definitely not much, but I wanted to give Booth the chance to really break through to Brennan... and not even in a romantic sense. So just as a little introduction, this is Booth talking to Brennan after she admits to him that she is scared that she will fail.

"No, don't ever be afraid about letting your feelings show. It is okay to be afraid.

To be honest, I'm scared sometimes too. I'm afraid I will fail and let a bad guy walk free, but I know I have you.

We complement each other, remember? But you also comfort me.

I know that whenever I have a problem you will help me through it. With work, the squints, and also with my son.

Even if you don't know the right words to say, just your being there helps. I hope you feel that way with me.

So, you shouldn't be afraid of failing or showing your emotions because I am right here. I will always be here for you.

The world isn't going to look down on a renowned Forensic Anthropologist and best selling author for one little mistake.

Temperance, no one will ever lose respect for you. I have faith in you; I know you can do it. When have you ever failed?

Even if you do – which most likely won't happen – you shouldn't care what others think.

You are a very special woman with a gift of bringing lost loved ones home to their mourning families.

Never, ever doubt yourself. And never be afraid to tell me something, I will always listen.

I'm your partner."
