Prompt: Song Title – You Don't Know Her Like I Do – Brantley Gilbert

Harry was pissed and everyone could tell it except for the idiot currently spouting off crap. His eyes hardened as he cut Ron off as he snapped "That's enough, Weasley! I don't care who you are or who you think you are, but I will not have you talking about Luna like that!"

Ron gulped as he looked at Harry with wide eyes. "Bloody hell, mate, what's gotten into you? Why do you care if I talk about Loony Lovegood like I am?"

Harry's eyes flashed as his magic crackled around him. He could hear and see that everything in the Gryffindor common room was rattling, but he didn't much care at that point. The only thing he cared about at that very second was setting Ron right. "You don't know her like I do, Weasley! If you don't want to be hexed until you're black and blue I would advise you to shut your mouth. Besides Luna is ten times the person you are or ever will be."

Ron narrowed his eyes at Harry. "Are you saying that you would choose her over me, Harry? Why can't you see that she's crazy?"

Harry snorted. "It wouldn't be a choice, Weasley, because Luna would win hands down. She has never betrayed me and has always been there for me unlike you. Just because Luna sees things differently doesn't make her crazy and besides if you would actually listen instead of ignoring everything around you, you would know that the way Luna talks is because of the special ability that she has. You truly are stupid. Now if you will excuse me I have better places to be."

He turned on his heel and stalked away even as he fought to reign his magic in. He wanted nothing more than to lay Ron out, but he figured that it wasn't worth the trouble that it would bring. He would much rather get back to Luna and spend some more time with her. He wasn't sure when it happened, but he had fallen in love with her. He had meant it when he told Ron that it wouldn't be a choice because Luna would win hands down. He could and would do without Ron in his life, but he couldn't and wouldn't do without Luna in his life.
