It was a regular school day. Jacob Black sat unmotivated at the farthest end in class next to a window. Trigonometry lessons weren't his favourite and he needed to survive through the torture of numerical sums and more equations. He doodled randomly on his notes, willing himself to pay attention for once. No, he couldn't. His mind was pleasantly occupied, thinking about someone else. He watched that special someone, close to his heart, receive her Trigonometry paper, having been announced by their teacher that she was the top in class.
Hey, I've been watching you
Every little thing you do
Every time I see you Ace
In Trig-o class, makes my heart beat fast
"Jacob Black."
Jacob looked up to see his teacher staring down at his book.
"Exactly what are you doing, Mr Black?"
Jacob pursed his lips and turned the notebook over.
"You don't want your paper?"
The teacher dangled Jacob's paper in front of him.
"Oh." Jacob snatched his paper from the teacher's hand.
"How very unbecoming of a gentleman," said his teacher before walking off, her heels hitting the floor with each step. Jacob's classmates turned and sniggered.
