A Newbie
Im Rachel Berry. Im new here. I transferred schools to be closer to where my dad works. I've had to forget all of my friends, and memories, to start fresh at William McKinley High. The corridors here are intimidating, so much so it puts me under pressure. I feel uneasy about going to new classes and meeting new people, but with a talent like mine, what do I have to worry about?
The teachers seem friendly enough, it's just the students. It's like a food chain I guess. It starts of with the football jocks, then the cheerleaders, poplars', regulars, nerds, the chess club, and glee. Glee is a performing arts club, I'd enjoy it, but it comes with a slushy package. I've been at McKinley High for 3 weeks now, and it's doubtless that I haven't seen a member of the Glee club get a Slushy thrown in their face. I decided to join…
Finn Hudson. One word. WOW! He has a gift; he sings like an angel, I mean he doesn't of course quite reach to the standards of my skilled voice, but he would be a great partner. He performed in front of the whole school with the rest of the Glee club, but he had his own solo, that left everyone speechless, until a member of the jocks, threw his sandwich at him. I had second thoughts about Glee club but, I couldn't let an opportunity like this go to waste. I could become a solo artist with kind of qualification on my records.
Quinn Fabray was my competition. With a voice that can make a room fall silent, I had to up my game. It was gonna be tough. Maybe if I could some how get Finn to perform with me at the Regional's I'd be flying high above Quinn and her voice. I'd be the girl who has the quarterback.
