Edward and Bella are in the meadow for the first time and Bella isn't afraid of him which bothers him deeply
'Why can't you see that I love you too much to care what you are Edward?' She pleaded with him.
'That's exactly why Bella.' He paused and smirked at her. 'you haven't really seen what I am and how hard it is for me.' He gleamed a threatening smile at her to shut her up.
Suddenly Bella could hear music and Edward picked up on the tune and sang to it. Standing in the middle of the meadow as he did so.

'Sorry…' Edward said as he plopped himself back on the floor ten feet or so from Bella who is in shock at this point. 'That was quite an outburst wasn't it?' He smirked watching her carefully
She simply nodded trying to calm herself down and they sat in silence watching each other.
When she was calm enough to speak she said 'You sing beautifully you know.' Making him chuckle lightly.
'I'm the world's best\predator, aren't I? Everything about me invites you in – my voice, my face, even my smell. As if I need any of that!' Edward smiled at Bella; momentarily dazzling her as normal.
