Remus wakes to a silent dormitory, absent even of Peter's snoring. He sits up and turns to the left, as has become his routine.

There lays Sirius, his very best friend.

For whom he harbors secret feelings.

He watches the steady rise and fall of his friend's chest and yearning, scorching hot, fills his stomach, making him long to reach out and stroke the other boy's face, chest, hip…

But, as he does every night, he fights the desire, wrestling it back until it is little more than a flyaway thought.

He falls asleep, blissfully unaware Sirius wants the same.
