Author's Note: Hello one and all, to readers and writers of all kinds. This is one of my first stories, to be published to the internet community base. As always constructive criticism and reviews are always lovely, they always make my day. One more thing before I let you read on, there is an event in this chapter similar to something else, let's say an easter egg. If you can find it, send me a PM, or a review (PM would be better) And if you get it right, you get your choice of easter egg to be incorporated into the story, just as long as it's reasonable. If no one gets it, then Oh well, maybe next time. Without further ado, let us begin!

And now for copyrights and such.

Disclaimer: I do not own any real life places in this story, stores, brands ect:

Claimer: I do however claim right over the character in this story, and the story line with it. Yopu require my permission to use them if you want to.

Good luck and enjoy the story!

I still remember that cursed day, as if it was yesterday. The wretched day of death, and the day that ruined my life. But let's back up a bit. It was the year 2013, sometime in February. My family and I, my Mom, Dad, brother and two dogs took a trip to P.E.I*, for a few days to celebrate my birthday. I was turning thirteen, and I was very excited, for I'd always wanted to go this far east, because they have great fishing over there. It was one of the last days we were there and we got a newsletter in our hotel, telling of a fishing festival the day we were going to leave. Mom and Dad talked it over for a bit, but eventually they came to a conclusion to stay a few extra days to be at the festival. It was in the capitol, Charlottetown, the middle of the island. So we packed up out stuff from the hotel and found ourselves a place to stay.

We arrived an hour and a half later in Charlottetown, and another half hour to find a hotel to stay in, due to all the traffic. We unpacked all our belongings, and got settled in to our new hotel. My brother kept complaining that we drove too much, but my parents just ignored him. He was only five, and that's just they acted then. We got to bed early that night, because we wanted to be up bright and early for the festival the next day. We got up at 7:00am the next morning, packed us lunches, got the dogs ready and jetted off to the festival area. At around noon, we made our way away from the main buildings, to get some space. We found a bench area by a fountain, and we decided to eat lunch there. Then my Dad realized he had forgotten the lunch bag in one of the main buildings. Mom and my brother went with him, and they took one of our dogs, Cleo, a German Shepard, with them. I got to keep our other dog Bo, a Jack Russell Terrier, or as we called him, a Jack Russell Terrorist. Shortly after they left, Bo and I were flung off the bench by some sort of air wave. I got up and looked back to the festival buildings. To my horror, the entire building area was in flames, and was exploded all over it, like bombs had gone off in it. Another explosion went off, this time close to me. The force of it knocked my off my feet. I got up once more took another look at the raging flames. Tears were streaming down my eyes. I picked up Bo, and ran as far as I could away from there. It has been six years since then. I am the only survivor of that day. All modes of transportation were destroyed, so I was stuck on this Island.

My name is Rylee Vlat, and this is my story.
