My Angel

Hey Everyone! This is my story, formerly titled Fallen Angel. I've been reading it through a couple times, changing mistakes and adding some stuff in. To those of you who read and (hopefully) reviewed, thank you so much and I hope you will continue on reading. I haven't changed much in the beginning, just some typing errors. If you catch anything, please tell me, so I can fix it. This takes place right after 'The Enemy Walks In' and continues on from there. Happy Reading!!

P.S. I already have about eight chapters typed, so I'll be updating pretty often.

She was back. My mother who abandoned me, lied to me, shot me, told me I was a mistake, was back. It was such a shock to find out, I had just been speaking at Emily Sloane's funeral when my father received the call. I'll never forget the look on his face; it was pure white, which never happened to my father. He was never scared, or at least never showed it. I needed someone to talk to, not the CIA therapist, she never helped. I pulled out my cell phone and clicked speed dial 5.
"Vaughn." It was like heaven to hear his voice. I couldn't let it show too much, so I kept going.
"Hey, it's me."
"Sydney?"
"Yeah, can you meet me at the warehouse? I've got a problem."
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine, I just need to talk to someone."
"Okay, I'll get there in 10 minutes."
"Thanks." I hung up feeling slightly relieved. Vaughn always helped me when I had a problem. I don't know what I would do without him. I mean, he saved my butt more than enough times and was officially my guardian angel. I always wish there was more, but that could never happen. I've been reminded so many times by my dad that, "It could endanger my life and his and is strictly against protocol." It would also make things overly complicated. If we did get together, he wouldn't want me going on missions or being a double agent. I could never give that up, not until SD-6 was brought down. For now, my secret crush would have to wait.
By the time my thinking was over, I was at the warehouse, but Vaughn's car wasn't out front. For once I had beaten him here. I walked in, but to my surprise, Vaughn was sitting on some crates eating a sandwich.
"How'd you get here, your car's not out front?"
"I walked, you think I always use the commercial mode of transportation?"
"No, it's just you usually drive."
"What was the big thing you had to talk to me about?"
"My mom's back." Vaughn spit out the bit of water he had been drinking. I knew this would hit hard. I knew my mom killed his dad, so I tried to put it lightly. "I know that you have a big thing against her and so do I and..."
"You don't have to elaborate, I know. What do you mean 'she's back'?"
"She just came and turned herself in to the CIA. My dad found out yesterday at Emily's funeral."
"Oh yeah, I forgot you had that. How was it?"
"More lying, saying things like how I met her when I started the "banking" business. It was so hard."
"I can only imagine. So, what are you going to do about your mom?"
"I don't know. I don't believe that she turned herself in just for good terms. She's up to something, and I intend to find out what."
"Well, if you need any help, you know where to find it." He smiled the oh-so-adorable smile that made my heart melt. I could do nothing else but smile back.
"Thank you, Vaughn."
"Sydney, it's Michael." I smiled again. He was so cute when he acted like this, all protective.
"Okay, Michael." I almost ran out of the warehouse to keep him from seeing me blushing. Right now all I wanted was a fairytale situation, but I soon found out there would be nothing of the sort.

An: I know that was pretty short, but I'll keep it going really soon. PLEASE REVIEW!!
