Evil is a difficult term to fill.
What is evil? Is evil walking past a child crying on a street corner? Or is evil committing a murder without remorse? Is evil skipping a doctor's appointment without calling, or is it making assumptions about a person based on the facts that you know?
If there was anything Isis Itami knew, it was this - she was not evil. Bad, yes. She was a terrible person. She did things, cruel, mean, terrible, awful things in the name of preserving her own life. But she was not evil. Not in her book. To her, evil was her father. A dark, remorseless, cold being with only two emotions - hate and anger. Isis found it easy to hate people in the life she was dealt, but there was no one that she hated more than Anubis Itami.
She never hesitated. The flash of the blade - seeing Typhon falter - She didn't even decide to do it. She just did it. The look on Lhikan's face was actually rather priceless as instead of running Typhon through with his damned blade, he shoved it right through her own chest. Isis almost didn't feel the pain at first. "Slow." She heard the word leave her lips, but it had no meaning. Typhon wasn't evil. He was good. He protected her. Loved her. Made her perfect. Laying down her life for him could never be a mistake. She fell back into Typhon's arms as Lhikan jerked the sword back, a shaky laugh leaving her lips, sure that he was screaming.
"You were always a little slow... But I couldn't just let you die." She whispered, her fingers trembling as she reached out and touching his face, marveling at how flawless he looked in that moment. "I love you too much, stupid." His grip on her hand tightened as her vision momentarily blurred before it was ripped from her grasp. Isis gasped as she fell back against the ground, reaching out frantically for her lover. She didn't want to die alone. Her breath quickened with her panic. He'd never just leave her to die alone. Never. Isis' vision cleared slightly as she saw that she was truly alone. A sob of grief ripped from her lips, relieved to at least know that Typhon, her Typhon, was safe.
She jerked as she felt smooth, small arms wrap around her as she was shifted into someone's lap. She blinked up at Toa Aruna, staggered by the action. "What... are you doing?" She rasped. It was getting harder and harder to breathe.
"He... your team made him leave." Aruna murmured, watching the Toa Itami. "Why would you do that?"
"Why... did you save Terios?" Isis asked, her chest rising and falling heavily. "Why do you fight so hard to keep... your team safe? I loved the idiot, he was mine. He is to me... as Terios is to you, Toa. Being an Itami does... not make me some... some evil, heartless creature." She took some satisfaction in the look the pretty Toa gave her. She fought the darkness pressing in on her, forcing herself to get out her last words. "Anything for love."
