Maddy POV

We were travelling back home after I got lost in the city. It was horrible. The noise, the colours, the people, I don't ever want to go back. That's probably why I decided not to use Eolas again because I knew the trouble it caused. In the car, I was quite embarrassed by what happened. I mean, Eolas had taken over me and made me do stupid things. It was thanks to Rhydian I guess. Although mam and dad won't admit it, I think they quite like having him around, and they won't forget what he did.

A piercing scream snapped me out of my daydream and I flung my head around to see Rhydian with his hands over his ears, screaming.

"Rhydian!" I cried out, trying to discover what was wrong.

"The electricity, ahh!"

"Dad, you have to go through the woods!"

"I'm on it Maddy, try to keep him awake"

"Rhydian, Rhydian look at me! It's fine, you're gonna be ok"

I saw his eyelids flicker and pulled him towards me before he fell backwards.

"Mam he's passed out!"

"Don't worry Maddy, we'll get him out of here"

We carried his unconscious form across the leafy ground and laid him down among the grass. I shook him, trying to awaken him.

"Mam, dad, why isn't he waking up? He should have woken up by now!"

"I don't know, but he needs to wake up soon"

We tried for well over 15 minutes to try and snap him out of the unconsciousness, but it wasn't working.

"Right you two, we need to get him home, NOW!"

Me and dad carried him back to the car and broke the speed limit by a long way trying to get him back.

Once home, mam tried all sorts of remedies and medicine to wake him up but it didn't work.

"I don't know what to do Maddy, he's not waking up!"

"Will it help if he's in wolf form?"

"It might because it heals most injuries but you need him to wake up first Maddy"

"Maybe if I'm in wolf form he might react to me"

"It's worth a try"

I concentrated and felt my human body transform into the wolf. I pulled and prodded, licked and howled for him but he didn't respond. I was about to give up when I felt a movement beneath me. I looked down and saw Rhydian move. I transformed back into my human form and watched his eyes flicker open.

"Mhhm"

"Rhydian you're awake!"

"What happened?" He mumbled, rubbing his head.

"You don't remember?"

"All I remember is pain, loud noises and then darkness"

"You collapsed because of the electricity Rhydian. Why were you unconscious for so long? I was only out of it for less than a minute last time"

"I don't know, I don't remember"

"It's strange, why didn't anything happen to Maddy?" Mam said

"I guess we'll never know, but as long as you're fine it's ok" dad said cheerfully.

"Don't you go scaring me like that again Rhydian" I said firmly.

"Don't worry Maddy, I wouldn't dream of it"
