Alanna was walking back from the market with Jon. They had gone to
see George about Moonlight. She was very sick. George had given them an
ointment and a pill that Moonlight had to take every day.
All of a sudden Dain stepped out of a doorway. "I want a rematch" he growled.
" To bad" whispered Alanna "I beat you fair and square last time, even though you did use that child's trick. Alanna said these last words with anger. "How dare he challenge me. He is a rude little dimwit" she thought to herself.
"What's wrong baby? Oh I see the little boy is scared" now Dain was almost shouting even though they were only a few feet away from each other. He unsheathed his sword and lunged at her. Alanna went for her sword only horribly realizing she had not brought it. Jon stepped in front of her, his sword ready. He blocked Dain with ease. Jon brought his sword down quickly but Dain slowly blocked it. Jon took this opening to hit the base of Dains sword ,knocking it from his hands.It landed a few feet from Alanna who quickly picked it up just in case. Jon pointed his own sword at Dains throat." I surrender" squeaked Dain. "Try that again and I swear on my life you will die"! yelled Jon. Alanna had never seen him so angry.
Jon and Alanna slowly made there way back to there rooms. "Thank you" said Alanna.
"Don't mention it" Jon answered politly. As they entered the rooms Jon sat down on Alanna's bed. " Alanna" he said.
"Yes"
"I think I love you"
"Oh"
"Just oh?"
"Well I don't exactly know what to say"
"Oh"
Alanna sat down on the bed also.
Jon looked at her. " Alanna?"
"Yes?"
"I really do love you"
He leaned over and kissed her.
"I have to go" said Alanna hoarsly. She was stunned. She stood up and ran out. She ran to George and confided evrething that had happened to him. She knew he could help.
