Marching Band - A parody to "Piano Man"

By: Lissie and Shasta

It's 9 o'clock on a Saturday

as we pick a four leaf clover,

'Cause we're all wishing to march again,

but the seasons already over.

Eric can you play us a memory.

We're not really sure how it goes,

but its sad and its sweet and we knew it complete

when we wore our marching clothes

Digga digga dat dat digga digga dat dat..... wait wrong song ... Da Da Dat diddy daat....

Chorus:

Play us a song your the marching band,

Play the school song tonight.

We're all in the mood for a half-time show,

c'mon AHS show your might!

Mr. Jimos the director is a friend of mine,

he gets me my reeds for cheap.

He's quick with a joke when your instruments broke,

and during class he won't let you sleep.

Kate says "Tuck this is killing me."

As she slowly begins to dance,

"I'm sure I could be the drum major,

If only I could fit in those pants!"

(Chorus)

Harry is a tenor saxophonist

who sometimes likes to assume.

and he's talking to Nicole about going commando,

and neither have named their plume.

And the Freshmen and practicing survival skills

as the seniors get ready for the game.

They have to share the bus on the way down,

but without them it wouldn't be the same.

(Chorus)

Its a pretty good crowd for a Saturday

as the director gives us a smile.

Cause he knows its the band they've been coming to see

To forget about the score for a while.

And the crowd sounds like a carnival

as the poms give us a cheer.

As we sit in the stands a crack jokes for a while,

and play songs as we laugh and cheer

(Chorus)
