Prologue
"What,summer camp! I don't want to go mon!" , I yelled. "Emily come on you're thirteen years old you need to make friends.", she said in her sweet motherly voice. "But mommy, i don't want to leave you.", I said. "You're going so pack your things l'm dropping you off after we get you a swim suit.", she said in a not so sweet motherly voice. "Wait... there's water?", I asked in hopes of a pool or something.( I love swimming ) She answered, "Yes they do but -" "Yes!", I yelled running to pack my things.
"So,mom how long am I there for?",I asked. (wishing all year)"two months my little fish." She answered. We were almost there, I could here the children and smell the lake. Then this feeling hits me there's something not right about the camp.
My mom pulled into the parking lot and gave me a big hug. She's all I've got my dad died before I was born, so she's both my mom and my dad. "Bye my little fish.", she called. She's always called me that ever since I was born." Bye mom", i called, "I love you."
"Hi.", Said a voice from behind me making me jump. I turned to see a teen age girl in a camp uniform. She must have been troop leader or something." Hi um do you know where I have to go?", I asked." Fallow me I'll show you around. By the way my name's Liz.", she said to me with a smile. " My name's Emily", I said nervously. " First time at camp?", she asked. " Yes" I answered. "Okay here's the cabin you're in bathrooms are inside and the lake is right behind you. We meet for food in the cafeteria.", she said pointing to a log cabin and a large building. " Okay thanks.", i said as she walked away.
" I stepped into the cabin and found two girls sitting there with makeup in hands. Oh great I thought. They noticed me too and said," uhh, what are you doing in our cabin?" Then the other one said, " Yeah what do you want with us or what do we want with you.
I looked at them and said nicely, " I'm Emily it's my first time at summer camp and i guess we share a cabin together." They both looked at me wide eyed and said," what! We specifically said No Roommates!" I told them," Well sorry but I'm here for two months with you so I'm ganna go put my stuff up." I turned to go through the doorway when one of them said," oh no your not!"
