Mindy and Danny broke apart when they heard the sound of someone clapping. Mindy looked over her shoulder and saw a peppy blond flight attendant grinning back at her.

"Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. You guys are so cute! How long have you been dating?"

"We, we haven't. Been dating," stuttered Mindy.

Danny coughed and placed his hands on his hips. "We're friends."

The flight attendant looked confused.

Mindy ran her fingers through her hair. "We're, we're actors actually? You know, we're rehearsing." She grabbed Danny's hand and raised it in the air. "We're heading to Broadway next week! It's going to be like Westside Story except the outfits are better and the Italian mob is involved."

The flight attendant shook her head. She apparently was not convinced.

Mindy sighed and glanced at Danny. "Okay, yes, we're totally dating, we've been dating for like, what, honey? Seven months now?"

Though Danny's eyes were still glazed over in some sort of shock, he shook his head rapidly in agreement.

"Yup," continued Mindy, "Seven months."

"I knew it!" cried out the flight attendant. "You guys are just wonderful together, and it's so nice seeing interracial couples nowadays. Your kids will be adorable!"

Mindy scrunched up her eyebrows, "Okay, lady ... We're going to go to our seats now." Mindy motioned for Danny to walk ahead of her.

Still smiling, the flight attendant handed Mindy one of the tonic waters and whispered, "That was one hot kiss."

Mindy clutched the water in her hand. "Yeah." She pressed her lips together tightly. "Yeah, it was."

Mindy tried not to touch Danny as she crawled over him to get back into her seat, but she failed miserably, especially when the turbulence kicked up again and she almost fell into his lap. Instead, Danny instantly steadied her with his hand.

"Thanks," murmured Mindy as she plopped into her own seat. She stared straight ahead and began patting down her hair.

Danny scratched at his neck and then looked over at Mindy. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, um. Yes." Mindy nodded her head, but continued to stare forward.

"You're not blinking," said Danny, leaning in closer to her.

"I'm just … taking a break."

"From blinking?"

"I mean, what the hell, Danny?" Mindy jerked her head to the side and turned in her seat to face him.

Danny licked his lips and grasped the arm rests on either side of him. "I know."

"You, you totally just kissed me."

"I know."

"It was like you were Tom Hanks and I was Meg Ryan, or you were Billy Crystal and I was STILL Meg Ryan, or -"

"I know. I know," he said, locking eyes with Mindy and tightening his grip on the armrests.

Mindy lowered her voice. "It was like ... I mean, did you enjoy it?"

Danny inhaled through his nose and kept his eyes focused on Mindy. "Yeah." He exhaled. "Of course I did. I've been wanting to do that."

"Oh." Mindy's voice almost got stuck in her throat.

"Did you … enjoy it?"

Mindy tightened her lips, then softened them. She gave a slight nod. "You kiss the way you dance. So, like, really well."

Danny grinned and let go of the armrests. He quickly ran his hand through his hair before placing it on Mindy's knee. "Mindy -"

"Oh, crap." Mindy stiffened and reverted to her former position, her back firmly against the seat and her eyes directed straight forward. "Cliff. What am I going to do about Cliff?"

Danny removed his hand from her knee. He turned away from her as well. "Right. Cliff."
