This is a short little something that I had to get out of my system and because you people are taking so darn long to review my other story I went ahead and posted it. It doesn't have much to do with anything but it might show some insight if you pay attention or fabricate it on your own. If you don't like it than TOUGH COOKIES because its your own stupid fault that I haven't been able to add to the other one. Disclaimer: I do not own the Storm Hawks.

The two kids stand on a ridge, looking down and across at a deep crack in the land. The Merb twitches almost imperceptibly. The girl angles her hover board toward the landmark below. She smiles out of the corner of her mouth, sensing his nervous eyes turning on her.

"C'mon Grei, don't do this." But it's too late. She's already gone.

So fast, so fast. She picks up speed, swerving ever so slightly to avoid the familiar jutting rocks. Faster, faster; until she's just a blur, her hover board barely registering the twisting, pulsating metals in the ground beneath her. Faster still now, she allows the rushing wind to push her hair out of her eyes. Closing them, she lets go of reality, and suddenly gravity and direction mean nothing. There is no up or down. There is only the constant forward motion of her body and her board.

Squinting against the wind she peers ahead. The Divide is coming up fast. If she wants to stop she'll have to start slowing down now. If she speeds up and doesn't make this jump either the fall or the impact will kill her. She leans forward and squeezes the last bit of throttle out of her hover board. Her eyes flash green beneath their lids, all traces of their calm blue vanishing as her insides scream with excitement and pain and her breath is ripped from her lungs. She feels a void open up inside of her as she hurtles over the edge of the Divide. Her board cuts out.

Her emptiness connects with that of the chasm beneath her and for a split second she is nothing but a beating heat and a throbbing head.

Board making hard contact with the ground on the far side she cuts into the tree line. Pulling turns and flips as fast as she can to contend with her insane speed. Her eyes still closed, rehearsing them from memory as she races to break through the tree cover. On flat, open turf once more she tilts her hover board in an attempt to skid to a halt before the end of the Terra. Almost back at average speed, she hits a rock and flips over, rolling, bouncing, and sliding to a very rough and painful stop. She lays where she falls, concentrating on breathing.

"Grei! Are you alright?!"

She smiles to herself, blue returning. "Yeah Stork, I'm fine."

"You had better be!"

Pain and ecstasy, green and blue swirl together, edgeless, infinite. And the wind carries the future for them both.

There you have it. If you like it; great. If you don't; too bad.
