The door slammed behind him, and he turned around, beginning to panic. He turned around to see the large Russian man advancing with a thoughtful (yet menacing) frown on his face.

"Who ARE you, Jack Frost!? Vat is your center?" He looked Jack over, getting in his face.

"My center?" He questioned.

"If man in moon chose you, it means you must have something very special inside."

North stroked his beard and retreated from Jack's face. He turned around, looking for his... Little helper. As soon as his eyes laid on it, a small smile overtook his haggard face.

North handed him a matryoshka doll with a large and tough looking north on the outside.

"This is how you see me, no? Very big, intimidating," North chuckled, "but if you get to know me a little better, vell go on!"

Jack opened the doll to reveal the next layer. It was a happy north who appeared to be laughing.

"... You are downright jolly?" He guesses with a smirk. Of course.

"But not just jolly!" North continued as Jack slowly took the layers away, "I am also mysterious," an interpretation of north with a cloak covering his face was the picture, "and fearless" a warrior north was shown, appearing to be crying out during battle. "And caring!" Shown was a small north cuddling a fawn.

"And at my center..." North began, waiting for jack to finish. The middle of the doll was a very small child with big eyes filled with curiosity.

"... There's a tiny wooden baby." Jack deadpanned.

"Look closer! Vhat do you see?" North urged.

"You've got big eyes?" He guesses.

"YES! Big eyes, VERY big! Because dey are full of wonder. Dat is my center. It is vhat I was born with. Eyes dat have always seen the wonder in EVERYTHING. Eyes dat see lights in the trees and magic in the air. This wonder is what I put into the vorld, and vhat I protect in children. It is vhat makes me a Guardian. It is my center." He paused, "What is yours?"

"I... Don't know." Jack responded bashfully.

North smiled, remembering when he was in this exact position long ago. He remembered when Sandy gave him this talk, and in the next moment, he did exactly what Sandy had done for him. He took Jack's hands, and silently gifted him with his center.
