Prologue: Kuchiki
I smiled to myself as the snow covered tree let out a ruffled sigh as the nightly winter breeze ruffled up the trees sleeping leaves.
Snow gently glided down from the sky and onto the snow covered ground. The chilly winter air brushed up against my cheek, giving me a soft kiss.
I giggled to myself as a small snowflake landed on my nose and quickly melted away, soothing my heated face.
All in all, a peaceful winter night in the Rukon district.
I smiled no less as the peaceful winter magic was interrupted by a flying man.
Ok, so he wasn't actually flying but that's what it looked like. Well, for a second at least.
The man was thrown through the air and fell face first onto the snowy ground in front of me. Never lousing my smile, I looked down at the man, tightened the large Kimono around me and greeted him.
"Hello there."
The man moaned out of pain and he pushed my face away. I smiled as he weakly leaned against the sleeping, frost covered tree.
The man before me wheezed and panted like a dog as he grabbed my sword that lay idly by my side.
My smile deepened as the man ran, my sword unsheathed. Roaring like a monster, he charged at another man.
This man was very different from the rugged and dirty older man.
He was quiet tall, had long black hair, and wore a sole reapers uniform. His eyes were like piercing daggers as he stared at the man.
With a simple slice of the sword, the man fell in two pieces. My blade fell to the floor in neglect as I can faintly hear it crying my name.
Feeling the need to answer the agonizing cry, I lifted myself off from the low rock and made my way to the lifeless corpse.
Tired of the cry, I quickly snatched my sword off the ground and whipped the blood off its blade. As I sheathed my sword back to my hip, an angry sigh left from the lips of the forgotten visitor. Apologizing for my neglect, I greeted the man.
"Hello there!"
The man before me frowned as he looked me up and down, from my white hair to my oversized kimono.
"State your name"
His voice was strong, hard, but also soft. He was a man of law and order.
Lowering the size of my smile, I answered truthfully.
"Heh, sorry, I wasn't born with a name"
The man's frown deepened as he stared at me with hate.
"Where you an accomplice to this dead man?"
I looked down at the lifeless corpse.
"Nope!"
The man gave one last glare before turning around and walking away. Surprised, I followed after him.
"Uh, sir? What's your name?!"
From over his shoulder he glared, sighed out of annoyance and continued walking. Feeling no need to give up, I continued to follow him.
An hour has passed and he hasn't given up.
Well, that is, until we passed the next small town.
The man suddenly stopped, looked over his shoulder, and grunted.
"What!"
I grinned and walked in front of him.
I smiled and laughed.
"I just wanted to know your name!"
The man looked at me like I was a nuisance and sighed.
"Byakuya Kuchiki"
