Glee and all of it's characters do not belong to me, simply twisting it the way I think it should go. One-shot. Read and Review?

She hurt you. She made her feel worthless. She made you almost want to cry, after doing what she did. But you love her, at least a little bit, and you know it won't be long till you're back together. It isn't.

But something doesn't sit quite right with you, something doesn't fit. You look at her, and fake a smile, as she smiles back. A dagger plants itself firmly in your stomach, it doesn't feel right. You're supposed to love her, but something's wrong. You try to hide it, but it isn't long before she starts to notice. You shrug it off, and look behind you, to distract yourself from the sick feeling.

And then you see her, the girl who broke your heart with her lies. She smiled at her boyfriend, and you feel a stab of something, but you can't place your finger on it. You look away, ashamed you had been looking at another girl, and try to focus.

It doesn't work.

You look back again, but this time she catches your eye. She raises an eyebrow, but you turn away, feeling a mixture of shame and something else.

And then it hits you like a train. You're in love with her still, even if just a little bit. You've turned her down before, but you can tell that you would pick her up again in a heartbeat. But you know that won't happen, she's found someone else. She's moved on.

You should too, but you know deep down in side you'll never be able to. You look back to your girlfriend, and try to smile reassuringly, while your gaze tries to drag itself back to her.

You want her back. But you know you'll never get her. So you have to settle with what you have, which you had wanted before.

You're trapped, and it's all your own doing. You need to give up, move on.

But you know you never will.
