Kiwi!
Five, four, three, two, one…" muttered Tatsumi as he waited for Watari's daily early morning explosion.
However, all was quite and there was no explosion. 'That's odd,' thought Tatsumi. 'Maybe Watari's late today…' Standing silently besides the entrance to Watari's lab, Tatsumi waited patiently for the explosion which would then be followed by a sooty scientist begging for funding. Five minutes past and there was still no explosion, only silence. What was going on today?
"Watari, what are you doing?" asked Tatsumi as he entered the lab.
Sitting in front of his laptop was Watari with a box of tissues. For some reason, the scientist was staring, teary eyed at the laptop screen. The only time he moved was to reach over for a tissue. What was going on?
"Watari?"
"Oh, hi Tatsumi," sniffed Watari.
"What's wrong with you?"
"Look…the kiwi…it…it…" stammered Watari as he pointed at the screen.
The secretary sighed and watched the video from Youtube. Oh, that was what was wrong with Watari…
"It was just a video," said Tatsumi.
"But the Kiwi!" cried Watari. "We have to save him!"
"Watari…it's not even real…"
Tatsumi, not wanting to deal with this anymore, left Watari to cry over… a kiwi. Sure it was a slightly depressing video, but honestly, it was only a computer animation. That man…honestly.
"Kurosaki-kun?"
The young shinigami was huddled up in a corner, shivering. When Tatsumi asked him what was wrong, all the answer the secretary got was "Too many emotions…" Not sure what Hisoka had meant, Tatsumi made his way into the break room to see what was going on.
Everyone was crying. Now this was madness! What could have possibly sparked such an outburst?! Tatsumi got his answer when Tsuzuki, all puppy-eyed and crying, rushed up to him.
"Tatsumi!" wailed Tsuzuki. "Quick! Sign the petition!"
"Save the Kiwi Petition?"
"Watari sent us the link and … wah! KIWI!"
Tatsumi didn't know what was worse Watari, the staff, or that damn Kiwi!
