Minato raced through Konoha's streets, joy lending itself to even greater-than-his-normal speeds. Sandaime-sama had just told him that he –him! Namikaze Minato!—was to be the next Hokage!
He darted into the home he shared with his beloved wife.
"Kushina-chan!" He shouted, picking her up and swinging her around. "I have the best news ever!"
"Oh?"
"Sandaime-sama wants to name me the Yondaime!" Minato set her down and waited for her response.
"Oh. Um…"
"What is it?" He noticed that she wasn't as vibrant as normal.
"I'm pregnant."
Minato dazedly realized he'd been wrong: she had the best news ever.
