I always wondered why there were no Terra Nova Crossovers with Mass Effect, here's a shot one shot about it.
Multiple planets were invaded by the reapers, but there was only one thing more unsettling than the appearance of the reapers. The humans seemed to have disappeared from the galaxy, the few who are still round and about are slowly disappearing as if they were never there to begin with. Their colonies stripped clean of resources and their military gone.
The STG had managed to capture a single human to interrogate him, but the man only smiled before he committed suicide. Leaving them with no clue as to where the species disappeared to. Even with all their information gathered from the computers left behind held little to no information on what had happened to them. The only clue they had been left with were the words 'Project Terra Nova Active'.
Only a week later when the last human disappeared, did they discover what happened to them. A small pod suddenly appeared near the Citadel, sending the message to the council and its races.
We sought out to the council to join us on this project and help us ensure the future of your species, but it is too late now. Since the day the Turrains have fought us, we have always had a plan in case anything went wrong. With the introduction to the citadel, we went above and beyond what we did to protect ourselves. Thanks to you we were able to complete the project ahead of schedule, which eventually led up to this moment.
However, we would like to say that we tried to warn you, but you did not listen. Refusing the evidence right in front of you all, remaining blissfully ignorant of your impending doom. We took steps, and pushed you too see how you would react as events unfolded. There had been no difference in your attitude to the world, so we put our project on standby ready to activate as soon as the threat appeared.
Our greatest invention, yet our greatest shame. We created Terra Nova, as the greatest contingency plan in the universe, allowing us to survive any catastrophe. We traveled back 2 billion years in time to an alternate timeline, where we created our new home on 7 planets we already developed. Our gateways were genetically coded so that only we may open them, even then we had to input the correct password to open the gate.
Once the last human traveled thru, the gates destroyed themselves leaving us in a safe zone. We are truly sorry for your loss, may you all rest in peace.

The council and other species could only read the message and weep, they had been the cause of their own doom and no matter how much they wanted it to be different, they knew it had been they themselves that pushed the humans away. Now they could only watch as they were destroyed by their own ignorance.
I hope this inspires somebody to write an awesome Terra Nova x Mass Effect Crossover.
