A Strange Discovery.
Rodney McKay put his pen down and rubbed his eyes. Day light was just peeping through the window in his lab. The day light and the horrible pain in his back told him he had worked though the night. Again.
Argh! Carson's gonna kill me, he thought of the bases Scottish doctor who had on numerous occasions physically yelled at the scientist for working though the night or even falling asleep at his desk. His thought then moved to something else. Coffee. He stood up gingerly and all the bones in his back cracked at once.
'Ah,' he sighed and grabbed his trusty coffee mug and slouched over to the coffee machine that he had fought to get in the corner of his lab.
As he waited for the black nectar to fill his mug, he stretched and looked out of the window and promptly jumped back in fright.
Out side the window was something that reminded him of home. He ran over to the phone and dialled the animal expert on base.
Five minutes later they were both standing there looking at it.
'You're correct doctor, I just didn't know we had them in the Pegasus Galaxy,' Dr. Mandy Clark smiled at McKay, still fascinated by the find.
'Is everything ok?' the quizzical voice of Elizabeth Weir floated across the room.
'Ah, Liz come in I want to show you something,' As Elizabeth cautiously entered the room she gave him the I don't know what you're up to, and to be honest I'm not sure I want to know look. She joined Rodney and Mandy at the window and looked outside.
'Oh my god! There are pigeons in the Pegasus Galaxy! I hate to think of the mess they're going to leave in the balcony!'
