Me no own. Me only own the plot.

Lyra sat. It was the day that they had promised so she sat. She always wondered what would have happened if she didn't. She felt that if she moved from that spot at all, her heart would rip in two. She knew that she would never be able to bear it if she moved, and the moment she did, Will sat. She felt the loss every day, a physical ache in her head, and her chest. This was the one day she felt whole. This was the only day out of all the 365 that mattered to her. This was the day that she lived for. She sounds kind of obsessed, but that can happen when you lose your love twice. First little Roger, who she had just considered a friend. Then Will, whose loss caused her heart to ache with pain. She had loved him so deeply, and so passionately, she wished she had gone with him to his world and died in the ten years. She stroked Pan, the only thing she had left. She had all the things her parents had left her, of course, but Pan and the Compass were the only things that mattered now. And, of course the bench. The bench she needed to be with Will. Will. The name unleashed torrents of weeping. So she wept. She looked up, and saw a young man standing in front of her. She yelled at him, telling him to leave, not to just stand staring at her. She watched him leave. She then made a decision. Praying this would work, she pulled out her pocket knife, and carved slowly, mechanically, Lyra+WillTrue Love. Unknown to her, Will was just putting the finishing touches on a heart with her name inside it. Lyra and Will both gasped, the air shimmered around their carvings, and Lyra saw instead of her heart, Will's. Will delicately traced the new heart and smiled, she was there. Simultaneously, they stood and walked away, but not without whispering, "I'll see you in a year, my love."

So, what do you think? Love it, hate it? Tell me in a review. If I get enough, I'll do one about them meeting in the afterlife.
