Thoose nights in the steel cage will haunt him until his end.
The Black Fairies harsh words telling him of his worthlessness and lack of purpose had left a scar that would never be fully healed. Abuse had been dealt to him every single night he was in her care.
The Black Farie and thoose who she ruled cruel voices putting him down in every single way imaginable. Mocking him for having emotions, mocking him for not being like them, for being diffrent. Mocking him for being the Dark One's son.
The hurt of his stomach crying out in pain over not being able to eat still echos in the darkness. The meals he was provided had been scarce and left him feeling more hungry than he had on an empty stomach. The Black Farie was his tormenter. Trying as she might he never would feel the need to protect her or be loyal. The nights when he had to cry out in dispair would always be the reminder as to why the Black Farie had to be destroy and why he had to kill the savior.
As he looks through the now smashed clock in the town spauare he knows only one thing would calm him down in his inraged state.
" One day you'll save us all Gideon, you'll be my handsome hero." The soothing voice etched itsself into his mind causing some of the rage to dissipate in the back of his mind. As the rage disappears the image of silver hair and green eyes cause him to look out onto the street.
"I'll save you Zara, I'll save everyone she's ever hurt."
A promise is made that night, not just to himself but to her, because she deserves the freedom of light and be cast out of clutches of darkness that will haunt them forever
